iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

We want granular controls that are simple to tweak and refine.

Two more screenshots of algorithm-customization settings screens. One is the same topic slider from before. The other shows granular toggles to control what activity you see from people you follow, such as posts they created or posts they engaged with.

We want an algorithm that is honest about how it recommends content to you.

A settings screen where a user can toggle what kinds of content is included in their algorithm, such as Trending, Specific Topics, Activity from people you follow, or recommendations based on your activity

Why does it have to be so hard? It doesn’t. And we’re building the solution now.

Think of how often you experience any of these: ➡️ You watch ONE video about something, and now you see it everywhere. ➡️ You doom scroll for hours, but almost half the content is irrelevant or just noise.

We were frustrated by the opaque, black box algorithms of other apps and the lack of control they offered.

We're using #atproto to build a #decentralized social media app that lets you control your own algorithm. Here’s why...

Three separate mockups of a mobile app that shows: A video feed playing a random video; a settings screen where a user can toggle what kinds of content is included in their algorithm, such as trending content or activity from people you follow; a settings screen with sliders where the user can adjust how much content they want to see of each topic. The heading reads “How we designed our algorithm customizer”.
