An Obsidian family member @thegreymoonwtf has been exploring the Shakshi braids on Baaku, using the magnificent #ZhouYiWei as face claim and I’m dying from nosebleed rn over these amazing fanarts. How do you imagine the Shakshi braids?

#Machu had his first successful flight last night. He’s been a difficult jerk who would just fly straight into the abyss and wasn’t reliable with recall. We were all holding our breath’s waiting to see if he’ll return. He went really far, taking the other bird with him but came down eventually.

Authors, if you see this, post the first line of your book. (Too long a sentence, yes, sue me).

“Love always comes at a price, but it’s what gives us the strength to fight, not our weakness.” No Obsidian MCs will have a happy ending, but this will be among the greatest love stories ever told. #Obsidianquote day 17 Chosen by Christine Grace Ruta

We’re writers. Our stories are our children. When someone bullies them, we’ll deal with it, we’ll live with it, we’ll survive. But we survive with scars, and they never heal.

If you can’t find love, kindness, & compassion in this world, it’s bc you were fixated on the opposite and took these things for granted. A passage I wish more ppl notice, chosen by a reader who must have read Obsidian 4x. Life is what we make of it. #obsidianquote day 16

Just saw the review and wow, “a rollercoaster of emotional damage” is the perfect description of what I was aiming for. 🙏😭 So happy it didn’t disappoint. And now I’m ready for checkmate. 👌

You know you did something right when you can get real people to agonize about a bunch of fictional people in a world that doesn’t exist 💪 And now is when they feel real. Thank you so much 🙏

Look, I don’t want to see my husband wash the dishes. Dude should be grabbing a spear to track down a beast that’s been terrorizing our village and bring the mfer back over his shoulder so I can sew its pelt into a cloak and yell “THAT’S MY MAN!” Fine, I’ll go write my fantasy.

The cowards will call you stupid for risking it. Those who can’t will call you delusional for trying. Losers will call you names when you’ve succeeded. Those who love you will applaud. Winners will ask you how and take notes. #obsidianquote Chosen by Claudia

And then the killing began. White against White, Shakshi warriors against more Shakshis, drawing blood, severing limbs, cutting down brothers, fathers, sons, and husbands. Their very own blood, shed by men wearing the exact same garment, belonging to the same race, the same land

Writers: dream of being the next big thing. Also writers: Is it okay to write this? Self-publishing is a business. If you still ask for permission, you’re not going to be the next big thing.

I can tell you what it’s about, and it’ll be just another blurb. I can tell you how good it is, and you won’t believe it anyway. So I’m just here to say, that a 500-page book that gets read twice to 4x by readers doesn’t come by every decade. And you’re putting it on TBR.

Today’s revelation: I’ve come to the realization that I only need to achieve something when I don’t have money to dive or travel. I even write fantasy bc that’s a free trip somewhere and all my drive to achieve something is just to unsuck my life when I can’t go anywhere. *mind blown*
