The most infamous aftermarket kit for the Gupp I is probably GravFree's Hobby Gupp ("HobGoblin" for short) which traces it's DNA to old Earth ATVs used for traversing rural grounds.

The Gupp I is famous for being cheap to procure and has a wealth of aftermarket parts for all sorts of recreational pursuits. Mech Racing is becoming quite a fad on Earth and even Mars, although there's a distinctive lack of space in the colonies themselves to enjoy these machines.

i ran a drop-in-drop-out game for the @deadsetmedia.bsky.social discord server a few years ago. it began as a playtest for my homebrew Armor Wizards then spiraled wildly out of control into a "can we survive/outplay the apocalypse?" not many survived, but a few did.
