Tried huck weaving (AKA Swedish weaving). I really enjoyed it! Edge is blanket stitch. It was stitched on a pre-made bookmark blank, but that was edged so crooked that the huck weaving was diagonal on the bookmark, so I did my own edging. #HandEmbroidery #HandMade #embroidery #bookmark

Current embroidery project is an ambitious silk and metal piece based on Elizabethan embroidery, designed by Melinda Shebring. It has a rectangular outer frame of goldwork, and an inner oval frame with a wyvern (dragon) inside it. Between the two frames are drawn pea pods, flowers, thistle, and a bee. The outer frame is finished. There is a little goldwork on the pea pods. There is some light blue silk accent embroidery on the oval frame in progress. WIP 1 Embroidery by Sidney Eileen.
