I need to ask my friend's husband about his pole saw, but I know that if I text him about it, the text notification is gonna look like... "When you have the time will you send me a pic of your pole..." Because that would happen to me. And those two do not need any more ammunition to tease me with.

School has been going really well! I've been busy, but since I have prior knowlege on the topics of my prerequiset classes, so far everything has been pretty simple. If not just a little boring lol.

After two busy days doing elections stuff, I spent yesterday looking at birds, in a nature reserve to relax and recharge. I saw some cracking birds, with these being my favourite shots. #BirdPhotography #photography #BirdsOfMastodon #Nature #London

A Pied Avocet flying.

It's a mostly white bird, with black wing tips and tail. The top of the head is also black, and its black beak is long and curved upwards.

Hobby

A small black and white spotted bird of prey with its wings spread wide.

Common Reed Warbler Singing at Me

A brown bird with a white breast is perched upon a reed. Its orange mouth is open. There are brown and green reed stems in the background.

A Common Tern with a Fish

A white bird, with a fish in its orange beak. The top of the bird's head is black too.

He just keeps on. Talkin about how he finds it funny that people refer to his roommate as his agab and how if said roommate would "just try" to make his voice different. You don't get to pick and choose who you're transphobic to, and who you call a faggot. I think I might cry.

Some people on Fet will be so incredibly foreward, I just have to take a pause. They'll come at you with their kinks before even looking at your profile or saying "hi". Like actually no, I don't want to blackmail you into anything, hope you find someone who does though. #fetish #kink #bdsm

I think people have gone too far with the "and water is wet" shtick; specifically in the face of scientific publications and legal articles. We know you know water is wet, the vast majority of the world is aware that water is wet, but how else would you have us title our findings if not "water […]

Something about May has me ruminating, and I've been plagued with the inability to shut up.

All this to say; just talk to your friends, if they don't listen to you and take your feelings into consideration, perhaps you need better friends.

I felt a little betrayed, honestly. The betrayal wasn't in response to my nicknames not landing, but in response to my dear friend allowing me to make them so uncomfortable for so long. I felt as if I'd been hit. All I could do was ask him why he let it go on for so long and why he never said […]

I used to call one of my friends various femminized versions of his name, Patricia, Patrice, etc. For the around 2 decades of our friendship never once did he express any negative feelings towards this. Till one day in, maybe 2020/21, we and another friend are standing in the other friends […]

Plants are are good teaching mechanism in learning to let go. Every time a plant dies, and they will, I feel a touch of grief. I have put time, love, and great effort into keeping this thing alive, and it is a life, sometimes for years. So when it dies, so do my efforts, if not my love and care […]

You as an individual have just as much, if not more, responsibility for your consent and well-being as your partner(s). You have the potential to irreparably hurt people when you lie about what you do and don't want.

There's obviously nuances to this, like in cases of domestic violence, which I shouldn't have to go into, but black and white thinking is an epidemic. I can already see someone going, "Yeah well that about _____!" That would be the nuance, I'm very proud of you.

🧵I'm such an ardent teacher of consent. So many hurt individuals will put themselves through sex when they don't actually want it, for many reasons. It took me years teaching my mother that agreeing to sex "just to shut him up about it" or "because I owe it to him" is NOT consentual sex, and […]
