I’ll never listen to a single episode.

Never met Bobby but have about 3 degrees of separation to him and am inclined to agree with him a bit (Despite loving the song). Terrible terrible choice of a single and the album would not be at a loss without it.

Now you’re talking! That’s the dream release.

I’d say it’s the album Im most fond of, in any of its variations. Im hoping it will be a Rootin’ Tootin’ Luton hybrid for Enzyclopedia

First gig of Oasis first ever tour. (I had only just started going out to see bands and decided not to go as it was a school night)

We read the rules and we followed them. I don’t get the problem? 🤷‍♂️

My brother went to this and brought me back a Nirvana T-shirt. I was 14 and it was the best gift ever.

Oh, aha ha. Showing the wife this and then framing it!

I took a week off work at the start of June to completely gut and redo our small toilet/shower room. I’ve just finished it 12 weeks later.

Stunning 😍 . I really want Vows on vinyl by the amazing Kimbra as a companion piece, but that’s only available for silly money.

A sweet sentiment and originated from Elroy I believe. Makes me think of how in Message To My Girl, Neil sang ‘I don’t wanna say I love you’ when really it isn’t hard at all. Sounds a bit New Order influenced with a not so subtle nod to Tetris.

No way, all of them? 😲 well done on keeping it going 🫡

Was reminiscing about childrens tv with a friend once and Bodger and Badger came up, and she decided to ask the question ‘which one was Bodger?’

This just makes me feel that Neil is content and happy with his lot. He is a grandad and surrounded by family and peoples that he loves. He’s done alright. Also randomly makes me think of ‘Those Were the Days’ by Mary Hopkin

Having been raised in Bedford from ‘77 (til I went to a seemingly predominantly white Southampton in ‘97), many of my neighbours, friends, teachers & doctors etc were from Caribbean & Indian descent, as well as Polish & Italian; this breaks my heart. If you don’t like it, go bleed out elsewhere.

Tim Finn once threw me out of an ALT after party, but it wasn’t his fault.

Seriously Lewis? You are spiralling down a rabbit hole of darkness that you will struggle to climb out of.

Still remember the absolute joy of getting heavily into Woodface and then discovering this album and ToLM existed. No record buying experience has ever really matched that… until Together Alone came out shortly after.

Sad thing looking like a dead flower. Was always drawn to the lyrical imagery of this track. Not one I think of often these days but am in love with it when I listen 😍 I’ll wear the smile on your face, I am as sure as I am.

It’s so linked tonight Mr Pye that I can’t really think of anything else. Although, I can’t help but think Noel Gallagher ripped this off at 3mins on We’re Gonna Get There In The End. (He’s meant to be a fan)

It’s a beauty, love my vinyl. I asked Nigel once why they were called Schnell Fenster, he wasn’t really sure 😆 They had earlier briefly been called The Wanx when Eddie was involved.

I love the Sound of Trees and do consider it to be an alternative Split Enz album. The title is from Lord of the Rings when Gollum says “And we forgot the taste of bread, the sound of trees, the softness of the wind.” In fact bassist Nigel use to have a cat named Gollum.

I come across this a lot in my job. I try to persuade clients to gift available cash now so that they can see family benefit from it, but the advice often falls on deaf ears. Not spending becomes a habit and the older generation still remember and fear how tough it was for their parents post-war.

I don’t understand why it splits opinion, I love it, and the Enz version. Always been fascinated how ‘Love & Success’ and ‘Your Inspiration’ sort of morphed and emerged as ‘I Walk Away’ and ‘Can’t Carry On’. A foreshadowing of the Enz break up bridges the CH new beginnings.

The album that hooked me in. Fall At Your Feet is a Neil masterpiece. The brotherly songwriting and harmonies with Tim are heavenly, Nick’s artwork is iconic and Paul is just a driving force of feel and effervescence.

I remember Neil saying he couldn’t write something as direct as Liam’s Lucy’s Song’ from the first Betchadupa album. Even with this, he had to use Sharon’s middle name and previously wrote a song stating ‘I don’t wanna say I love you’. That said, it’s a lovely heartfelt ode to the love of his life.

My mum’s best friend from school, Brenda always reminded me of Margot, stern, thin and straight. As a child I found her terrifying, the only friend of my mums who I was told to stay away from as she didn’t like children. Her husband John would slip me a few quid for being good when they went home

Just came across two ex-colleagues commenting on LinkedIn that Thatcher would have sorted out “our countries appalling state of affairs” and that “we would all be getting along much more nicely towards each other” if she was still in charge. FML, apart from being in Europe, that’s a deluded take!
