We grew some tiny aubergines this year too! I didn't think they'd do very well in the UK weather but we have had a fair amount of success with very little effort which I guess means we have to try next year.

I think the difference in atmosphere and crowd is a key factor here - I wouldn't even be annoyed at the throwers of the beer because we've all felt that emotional overload at a last minute winner etc, it's just not something anyone I know is even asking for 🫠

My secondary school was having an issue with uniform adherence and so held a very threatening fashion show of the all in one outfits, stitched together, which they planned to force us to wear, parents as well as students revolted - it was also the start of the downfall of our headteacher.
