The moral of this story is. I love Fire Emblem I love Strategy games in general. But Fire Emblem is special, hits that niche of RPG and tactical gameplay perfectly for me. And now as a final take away from this. Please play Advance Wars by Web, best way to play it with others. awbw.amarriner.com

Advance Wars By Web

That DAMAGE CONTROL is what makes Fire Emblem fresh to me. Sure I could play it purely strategical and like a math, but that shit's boring, I WANT MY INSTINCT TO RULE AND WHEN IT'S RIGHT THAT'S CATHARTIC, AND WHEN IT'S WRONG THEN I WANT TO FIX IT AND FEEL CATHARTIC

100

And often that will pay off where I send a swordmaster I trained in lances to kill literally everything by dodgetanking and self-healing through crit-healing mechanics. And then he will not land crits thrice in a row, a mage with weird 3 range or something will approach and I have to damage control

100

Don't get me wrong I like the Tactics series and Advance Wars (Reboot Camp was awful though) But that's because because I am really SCARILY good at them I have some stupidly good understanding of strategy. But FE is special, that one tempts me like Eve's apple to be stupid, to be FUNNY

100

I love the fact how easy and tempting it is to put myself into awful positions in Fire Emblem just through hype. This is why I've never felt that in any of the Tactics games, Advance Wars or similar. In Tactics you will kill everything or it will just be a fair fight. Advance War is pure strategy

I realize the reason I love Fire Emblem specifically as a game is because it is a game that is willing to give me super powerful units/individuals I have really grinded up just to make a bad tactical error because my "Queen Piece" had a good push and I forgot to consider one thing.

Meet Scipio Dactyl III I can't write much about my dusty desert mouse as my tabletop players follow me on bluesky and he's gonna be important in an upcoming dice campaign. His favourite hobbies include: - Gambling - Spending a hour in the morning to look fresh as hell - Gymnastics

Anyways fun lil tangent sounds like a funny goal for 2027. :3 And now to scare my Water Campaign players. Yes, lore accurate Nadina can turn into a Dragon.

010

In the godly form she'll btw. always float so that she looks slightly down on someone so that she emits a "scarier" aura by being above in eyeheight. Further just forms of pure lightning energy, if she's lazy/tired she'll assume the form of a lil wisp that can be on a shoulder.

Such forms tend to include: Her OG, the one all of you see all the time. A Queenly/Godly fake where she attempts to for a fact look intimidating have the energy of someone like Storm from the X-Men. And mouse, for no reason but that she likes them.

And furthermore that gives her the funny fact that she can reshape her body at will, even if she's got forms that are less taxing as they're more comfortable (Yes she for a fact struggles making herself bigger because she's used to others looking down at her, but for that could be an ant)

But yes, someone like Shuri gets a bit extra with it as she loses in every physical aspect to her bretheren that she embraces the elemental aspect harder than all of them. Going ahead and even turning her body to the most primordial lightning.

But over that they're a scary amount of energy bundled into a somewhat cute form? I say somewhat because Ignis is bigger than the average human, bulkier and others get around 1 meter in size with the physical stats of an elephant. (Shuri is an outlier at 77cm)

The easiest description I give people is the fact they're elementals because I get lazy about trying to explain a fuckton dragon lore BUT. They are very much like fantasy dragons where they're physical shapes manifested by magic in extreme cases those can revert to pure elementalism (Shuri, Nadina)

Weird worldbuilding/character thing I wanna succeed at during 2027 I think. Show off the race Shuri is in my universe more because Shuri Nadina Nerina Skadi Ignis Are all 5 essentially my universe's rip on dragons being entities fully created of magical energy. And currently I simplify them.

Which yes I know an ideal world is where we don't look at ladies and gentlemen anymore. But I think the goal is rather that the line shouldn't matter rather than there not being a line. Gentlemanly and Lady behaviours are still lovely even if I don't like them being tied to specific genders. :3

Ya know one of the saddest things I have realized with our (justified) dismantling of gender norms is the death of things like "The Gentleman Thief" trope. While stuff like that in Arsene Lupin etc. are like, super cool. It's evolved into the more modern "Phantom Thief" but I do love me the former.

Sometimes my desire for my basic human rights is more powerful than my trauma.

Absolutely I ain't like choosing to be silent about this to preserve some stupid fence sitter sanctity. I just don't talk about it often as I as a person don't want to be a doomer everyday pfffff.

I have looked at like 5 furry porn channels out of spite to see "What is truly inaccessible to me currently" and I can tell you, their teenager setting is dogshit. I have seen more dicks in the last 10 minutes than this entire year.

I HAVE A LOT OF OPINIONS ABOUT THIS I USUALLY DON'T SHARE BECAUSE I AM A CUTE FURRY ART ACCOUNT WITH A TABLETOP ADDICTION.

Even if I definitely have the opinion that some inbetweens will inevitably burn like Discord so the higher ups aka. the literal countries making the legislations see that they're burning sources of good income over this.
