You can hear my anime voiceover debut as Tina, in Dark Moon: The Blood Altar! 🥹 Thank you so much to the team at Sound Cadence Studios for having me, and for being so warm to my nervous self! I can't express my gratitude enough - was a real gift at a time I needed something nice. 💜

A complete stranger started talking to me yday whilst I waited in a laundrette. I really wasn't doing okay, but tried to mask it/be friendly, even tho I didn't feel like talking. At one point, she just looks at me and gives me a long hug... One of those 'human' moments I will likely never forget.

This year really isn't holding back on sad things... things were already too tough, but a curveball new difficult and cruel emotion arrived today and I'm struggling to not be consumed with it all. So painful. 😮‍💨

Hooray, I started collecting some #voiceover testimonials! ✨️ I initially starting collecting these just for a little bit of self-love, to look back on during rough times - but I figured I should probably share these amazingly kind comments and feedback I've gathered. (with permission of course) 💜

Had two stressful things happen yesterday that has quite frankly sent me into extreme worry mode - I couldn't even sleep because of it, so I'm basically a zombie today. 🧟‍♀️ I hope things pick up.

Just finished rewatching Clannad (+After Story) and had a moment where I went to cry as it was so so sad, tears formed but instead, I kinda hyperfocused on the curry I was eating to stop it. Then turned to Craig... he literally did the same thing. 🤣🍛

Helping my neighbours to pack their things/car as they are moving away this weekend, but I'm just trying not to cry the whole time. 😭 they've been so good to us. Friends moving away is always such a sad time, I struggle with changes like this. 🥺

Despite being pretty upset with my healthcare situ and a couple of other personal worries, I feel like I did some nice auditions today. 🥹 Like, when I was doing them, I thought it all was going to be terrible, but listening back - I'm happy with most of them. Can't wait to get them all submitted. 💜

Gross 🕷 story! I woke up at 3am with an itchy chest. Turns out it was a spider & it got squashed. 😰 I got up, it fell off & I then saw it was carrying an egg sack... I'd squashed eggs all over my chest. Ran into the bathroom freaking out... I'm still feeling sick thinking about it. 🥲 3am chaos. 😭

Yesterday, I listened back to some auditions I sent off, and it kinda shocked me how it didn’t sound like me. Like, I can maintain that voice, but it just sounded so... not normal me and way too cool. 😆 I don't know if that's normal or bad, but it was funny and weird!

Shelley H 🎙 @shuntervo.bsky.social · 09/07/2025

Decided to get out the house for a bit and go to Brighton. I'll likely pop into Develop. Though I have no idea what to expect, and I’m an ultra shy gremlin who needs to muster up courage so... we shall see! 🙈 A little bit of Brighton retail therapy will also be nice. 👌

Still sad, life is rough. BUT I managed to successfully make dango last night, at least! 🍡🍡🍡🍡 (I made Hanami Dango but also made some sweet sticky soy sauce that you'd usually get with Mitarashi Dango... just to dip it in, as it's yummy 🥰)

Man, I don't know how to write this without coming across as misery guts... But having a passion that's criticised and clearly not worth talking about by a parent breaks my heart somedays. Part of my success is from pushing myself even with this lack of acceptance, but gosh - it hurts sometimes.

I'm so nearly done with my new demo reel script, but I'd like to get a professional writer service eye on it before I record anything - just in case they can improve it. I'm not awful at writing, but equally I'd prefer someone who knows what they're doing catch any errors/naff bits. 🙈

It's just occurred to me today that I might have Covid again. I've had it about 5 or 6 times. And each time consistently, I get the taste of metallic off-ketchup when eating most things. But not when I had colds with negative Covid results. And yeah, I'm having the horrible taste again. 🫠
