evening!🕯 sorry for missing you all these days, have been repainting the outside of my house + creating + trying to savour life in its true consistency via experiences with my friends. here's more from the villa, w/ descriptions in alt text and a story in the last pic! trani, italy; 15/05 10.56am.

the great bandstand, bearer of memories from the great age of cast ironwork - such as matching park benches and dragons around the streetlights.

this building created for public wc services only. look at the poppy 1960s brut feeling stay still against twisted maritime pines.

the 'chalet', now an art gallery for temporary exhibitions, seen from one of the windows.

two miniparrots!
coming to you with just a few crumbs of memories from my life, a silly story, a moment of self-affirmation in the hard rush of life and public transportation.
when I was taking this picture, my phone was losing battery points bit by bit. it ended up dying in my hands as I walked out of the green lush villa and making my way to the station under the sun.
as I crossed the streets i saw a beautiful young woman my age driving a white fiat 500x. i stopped this lovely girl to ask her for directions but my soul was saying 'cmon bill you need help. do grow out the self-management shell and learn to ask when you need someone's help. this is the best moment to do so'
in a second i side eyed the girl and said 'heyy errrrr i --- i'd ask ya to take me there but dont wanna make use of your time,,,, and don't know if u feel like it to begin with,,,,'
the girl said yes.
she took me to the station right on time.
smiled at me, asked me if I ever came to trani ad I said no, never on my own - that's why i didnt know where the station was at.
my soul echoed 'cool. not quite what you really are, byt the winds are starting to get you shaped.'
i asked her how much is the regular caffé corto at the bar.
she says around 1.2-1.5.
i leave her 2 eur for her kindness, and while she insists i take it back, i smile and hurl out just in time for the train to stop.
she desnt know but by that means, i got even closer to who i am that day.
i hipe she fully enjoyed whatever those 2 euros got her. 🕯x

evening!🕯 things are moving, and I have updates to tell you and newness to show you - so while i'm trying to select how to put everything into place, enjoy some beautiful moments from yesterday morning right before an angel saved the day - more of that later ! [pictures captioned] trani, 15/05.

the seaside promenade below a spotty streaky sky and the oddest most tallest block of flats i've ever seen. to the right is the grandiose villa comunale, and the sea.

the vivid red blossom of the australian bottlebrush, one of my ever favourite plants and now a public garden favourite i see x"]

jasmine blossom i nicked and smelled all the way to the city centre + my necklaces + name and pronouns tag for the get-to-know-me before a special event ill tell you more about soon !!

the white choc and raspberry croissant and leather sofa in the cafe my day started with ! i saw my friend who hosted me for the night there, and then sat down enjoying some appresh for the moment + sane criticism to the gentrification of the coffee break with my friends on the group !those are really the interactions i cherish most in life.

hi! thank you for opening this alt text!
i had to resort to this great text box land due to character limit, because i wanted to give you a proper recount that should serve as an update *and* an exercise of joy and gratitude.
thank u for going on w the reading. love ya lots!
Bill🕯️x

so!
the event was indeed a great celebration of everything beautiful we did as a community, and it made me live above emotional heights i’ve never visited in this way.

the event was structured as: live performances by trans+ artists, art stalls in which to showcase (and sell for donations) your art, dj set and buffet.
i’d spent the morning making pasta all’assassina with the intent of serving it as buffet and got on to finishing some more of these cattini starrini to find home at the stalls.
my cattini are glitter eva foam ornaments depicting kitties enclosed in the shape of a star - finished with a blanket stitch and topped with a ribbon and bell.

as we got teary for stand-up events, shook up the body for the dj set
what happened was i’d spent the whole morning making pasta all’assassina for my great crowd

the first emotion was,,, rage and fomo. i got out late cos i took so much to get ready, then i got deserted by the bus not passing when it was due.
in the bus i was already shaking with anticipation as i knew i would somehow be the first to speak.
yes! cos in the previous day i’d been composing poetry while commuting, with the background noises of the bus + people speaking. a poem about the summer and sea taking away the weight of that part of one’s femininity (that is unlovable because it doesn’t correspond us) came to life. the last verses finished while two inspectors were having a row over working hours.
when i got there, i started living anticipation and a faint sense of overwhelming - everything was too much. the jacket, the weight of my stuff i carried, evenness people who rushed to greet me asking where had i been. i took one big breath, ready to go.

more next pic!

i unloaded my big bags, took time to re-centre by talking to my friends and setting up my little stall. i was a bit meh: had no time to prepare a cute little setup and was sad i couldn’t meet the friends who had to go.
i gulped all this down bitterly. i had to go.
my friends called, it was my turn to speak.
something played in the background, a treasure, something magical coming your way soon.
i felt its vibration help me while i rushed a little awkward introduction saying half the things i wanted to say. i recite my poetry. the music guides me.
people applaud, cheer, oww as i, with a trembling voice, do manage to tell my people what is it they just listened to.
a few performances strike our hearts with great passion,
the smiles of my people shake me off the thought i probably should not have run off the stage that fast. listening to their warm enthusiasm in their voices i feel loved.

soon they all take me to the little stall i set up, where i sold prints of new work (some yet unseen!) to my favorite people, while also trading our art + enjoying enthusiastic conversations on our creations.
a dj set curated by my dear friend charli fires up the night.
after a while, i bring out my assassina pasta to the buffet. i see every single soul fly to my mate raph at the desk to get some, so much they’re having to serve it in paper cups.
the hours pass, friends leave in the rain as time goes on dancing.
here’s the funsies: my parents were supposed to come pick me up at night as they were returning from a work trip to the Garda, but they encountered an interruption that caused them a massive delay on arrival. both of them seemed unreachable by phone. everyone he gone home. my friends verdi and simonə stayed with me as they did accounting for the night (sight), then they took me with them as we, flamingly trangenderous, swanned mercilessly in the night population of bari to grab a croissant at a fancy spot then watched me go into the night to reach my parents. my trans mxms.
