i'm about a third of the way thru so i could end up disappointed (hope not lol) but he's so enjoyable to read. he's playful but SO sincere, even if he doesn't quite realize it yet. he wants the mc to fall for him but it's not just a cruel game. he's not toying w/ him and nothing's out of malice

000

🦐𝒉𝒂𝒆𝒍𝒆𝒏 @shrimpsyrup.bsky.social · 10/10/2026

ugh taein is arrogant and kind of pushy, but heartfelt in the right moments and knows where the line is. he's also childish and mature at the same time?? childish and teasing with the mc, put together and mature when handling everyone else god i love him

100

🦐𝒉𝒂𝒆𝒍𝒆𝒏 @shrimpsyrup.bsky.social · 10/10/2026

him and the mc are currently texting back and forth like an actual normal convo omg i'm so glad this web novel is like 1000 printer pages

i've been reading manuscripts for how long any only just thought of this? shouldn't hyung, noona, etc be capitalized when used in place of name, as a proper noun??

this plush couldn't have a more unfortunate seam

110

🦐𝒉𝒂𝒆𝒍𝒆𝒏 @shrimpsyrup.bsky.social · 08/10/2026

it's there to make a relationship feel "deeper" without the writer having to put any real effort in. instead of SHOWING the connection being deep, they can just tell you "but you see, they've been connected for X years!" have u considered writing a proper couple that can stand on their own?? lmfao

000

🦐𝒉𝒂𝒆𝒍𝒆𝒏 @shrimpsyrup.bsky.social · 08/10/2026

i'm NEVER wholly opposed to ANY trope because i believe that no matter what any idea has the potential to be used properly given the right story and writer but so many times the "lost childhood connection" thing just comes out of nowhere with no proper foreshadowing until it just Hits The Narrative

100

🦐𝒉𝒂𝒆𝒍𝒆𝒏 @shrimpsyrup.bsky.social · 08/10/2026

i'm just so tired of this dumb cop out bullshit showing up in the final hour of so many manhwa. it's not deep. it's not compelling. it's stupid as fuck writing and it makes you a bad writer

101

🦐𝒉𝒂𝒆𝒍𝒆𝒏 @shrimpsyrup.bsky.social · 08/10/2026

i want a BL where the whole "lost childhood connection turned soulmates" thing ends up wrong like one character ends up SO SURE the other is xyz from their youth but it's eventually revealed to not be the case at all. whoever that was is just nowhere in the story but their memories.

Did you know you only need a small brain to make silly little drawings?

4 panel comic:
Panel 1: pink blob guy on a table, pencil in their hands. Grey circle on a piece of paper and a glass of water on the table. They say “look here”
Panel 2: Proudly, they hold up the drawing of a grey blobby character on two stick legs up in the air. The pink blob says “I drew this!”
Panel 3: Satisfied they sit back down on the table. They now go “it’s not much, but..” The grey drawing looks a bit peeved because the drawer is calling it “not much”
Panel 4: But it’s okay, because now the pink blob is very pleased finally. He says “it came from my brain!” Holding the pencil up. The grey drawing blob is happy again, too. End well, all well!

absolute nonsense of a manhwa lmfao. i completely lost it when i learned about the break up in the recent seasons author is either incapable of writing another story in incapable of letting go. but what can we expect from someone that green lights a cringe llm chatbot of one of their characters

there are three rings. i say i've received one. the usps tracking for the remainders is sitting at "label created"--no delivery. huh, i wonder how many items i'm missing? surely the answer can't be found in the messages already sent

currently saving out the precinct of souls and it makes me sad lee teum (eteum/iteum) hasn't made any comics since. both precinct of souls and their previous work the gap are really solid stories already. i can only imagine how good future stuff would be from them if they kept creating ):

me at aloha hey so. how much does licensing cost. you think i could pay for big baddie's license ? would that be enough incentive

000

🦐𝒉𝒂𝒆𝒍𝒆𝒏 @shrimpsyrup.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

(for a while i had also hoped that tapas would end up doing the digital release since they used to snag plenty of complete manhua in the past but obviously that's not going to be a thing anymore...)

other tip. scroll all the way through the episode before saving. yes this adds a lot of time to something that's already a pain in the ass, but trust. it will make sure all the images load properly for your save out, and if they don't, you'll know ahead of time so you can reload

🦐𝒉𝒂𝒆𝒍𝒆𝒏 @shrimpsyrup.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

for 1 i suggest saving as webpage complete chrome has a type called webpage single file i usually use bc it's cleaner (as described 1 file--no img folders), but in tapas's case the single file means no full screen option on your copy and we all know how trash tapas is outside of full screen lmao

110

🦐𝒉𝒂𝒆𝒍𝒆𝒏 @shrimpsyrup.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

with Tapas shutting down, two things ✨ 1) you can save out episode web pages. long as the images loaded properly they will save intact. 2) downloading episodes to your phone through the app right before shutdown might save them (this worked with bilibili)

🦐𝒉𝒂𝒆𝒍𝒆𝒏 @shrimpsyrup.bsky.social · 01/10/2026
