Routine admiration of my native flower bed. Spent ten hours outside yesterday gardening, seeding some marigolds, coneflowers and more right next to this bunch.

@musaalgharbi.bsky.social's introduction of the term symbolic capitalist really helped me understand my discomfort with the place of libs, academia and professional intellectuals in liberation movements. I'm finding a lot of intersection with Heather McGhee's The Sum of Us and Ruha Benjamin's work.

Second spread in my anime journal. Trying to pare down my thoughts before I run onto the next page is a lot like trying to write an abstract😅. I have an interminable amount of thoughts on MHA.

I'll admit this took me longer than expected because perfectionism kicked in, but once I started actually writing a character reflection for MHA Vigilantes' All Might I became sure this is just the first entry.

Switching things up from junk journaling and trying out anime (special interest?) journaling. Trying to do a focused composition is a little harder actually...

Ringbound journal lays flat with assorted MHA Vigilantes manga panels, red and yellow paper rectangles, and yellow flower diecut stickers spread out on both pages. Large fussy cut All Might and blue chiyogami takes up half of left page.
