During a #leadership workshop for Early Career Researchers last week, something struck me. As humans, we are prone to self-serving bias. Yet, most academics (including me) in that workshop felt that we also struggle with imposter syndrome. we exist in two separate contradictory worlds!!

I am wondering why students treat female professors as informal therapists or mothers when professional services is already available!! we are neither trained nor paid to be therapists. Possibly a new research area for a brave soul
