Returning from our last trip to Chicago, we brought back a bag of Portillo's beef & Italian sausage combo sandwiches as carry-on luggage. People on the plane gave us the thumbs up. IYKYK 😋

Try an Italian beef sandwich. It's a culinary legacy of the Chicago stockyards, when worker's families had to figure out how to make cheap cuts tasty. Locals argue who makes the best. For me, please drag it through the garden (all the garnishes) and dip it in the river (soaked in the au jus gravy) 🤌

Here's what I found: "South Willow Creek Canyon, the main approach to the Deseret Peak trailhead, is typically accessible from late May through late October. The seasonal gate is commonly closed around Nov 1, and the winter closure continues until conditions allow the road to reopen in late spring."

Back then the road was open. One time we got lucky and were able to drive to the campground and then ski from the car. It's too bad it's closed so far down canyon now.
