Insomniac becoming a Marvel factory is maybe the thing that makes me the most depressed about the game industry. I'd kill for a return to somewhat regular Ratchet & Clank releases, or a Sunset Overdrive 2.

that fucking ostrich skydiving ad i so bad and I've seen it a million times

Pretty sure REFramework already allows it, Praydog has done incredible stuff to that engine.

Even after trying a bunch I never managed to get that Sun Station achievement when I played originally, but in my NomaiVR playthrough I finally managed it after a handful of attempts. Felt pretty fucking awesome.

oh shit I hadn't heard about that yet, perfect timing since I've got a Frame showing up tomorrow

I was listening to the first ep of MinnMax's Deepest Dive podcast and Jacob Geller makes the same comparison, also as a compliment.

Man I love Cross Code so much. I gotta play through that DLC sometime. I started it when it came out, but hit a nasty bug at the end of the first boss where I was just stuck and had to restart, so I quit and never ended up going back.

showerskeleton.bsky.social @showerskeleton.bsky.social · 22/09/2026

Oooh that's cool. Been using my New 3DS XL again lately to play Samus Returns for the first time, but the paint is peeling off the top cover so I've been looking for good replacements.

showerskeleton.bsky.social @showerskeleton.bsky.social · 22/09/2026

Think I'm gonna finish up Onimusha tonight, really loved my time with it. Definitely unnecessarily padded out a bit, but the combat is so good that I don't really mind.

showerskeleton.bsky.social @showerskeleton.bsky.social · 15/09/2026

It's so damn good, it's constantly at the level of quality and creativity where I'm thinking "everyone needs to see this shit!". Been wanting to start messing with the randomizer and other post-game runs, but I'm playing Samus Returns rn.

showerskeleton.bsky.social @showerskeleton.bsky.social · 15/09/2026

I expected it to be like $20 and maybe even thrown in with the first thousand orders or something, $60 is a crock of shit. Tho of course if I get the email I'll be grabbing it, it is nice to have an official ergonomics kit available at launch.

showerskeleton.bsky.social @showerskeleton.bsky.social · 11/09/2026

well at least I got a new Fantasy Life out of them before this

Guessing you sadly didn't get far enough into King's Field 4 to see some truly sicko skeleton placement.

Hell yeah, I had a great time with the demo, excited to check out the full game!

I'm no fan of what they've officially showed of DLSS5, it seems to annihilate any kind of artistic intent, but I am a bit annoyed at everyone going "look at this monstrosity!" over a leaked dll being applied to other games and art styles that it definitely isn't meant for.

Oh yeah that's a video game I want to play right there

020

showerskeleton.bsky.social @showerskeleton.bsky.social · 25/08/2026

Really looking forward to finally going through the DLCs when the remaster comes out. So glad they're changing the skill tree too, I think the level up mechanics are probably the worst part of the game.

showerskeleton.bsky.social @showerskeleton.bsky.social · 19/08/2026

I gotta try this sometime. Lately when I wanna mix it up I'll make what is basically an espresso tonic, but with Sprite Zero instead, it rocks.

I'm more of an Acid Rap guy but yeah Coloring Book is very good. Same Drugs is one of my favorite of the chiller Chance tracks

Bingo Chili looks like someone you run into on the third or fourth planet of a Ratchet and Clank game who introduces you to whatever the vehicle minigame is.

I started listening to them in January and finished the most recent book last month. They're so good and I'm already so sad I have to wait for the next one.

@thorhighheels.bsky.social soundtrack is maybe the best way instantly sell me on a game. Wishlisted!

Signalis and Tunic were pretty rad. (There's actually a bunch of good shit now that I'm looking at a list, banger year)

showerskeleton.bsky.social @showerskeleton.bsky.social · 05/08/2026

Red War wasn't perfect but it was pretty good and I'll forever be pissed that I can't play that tank mission near the end ever again.

Wheel World is such a good chill time, I gotta get back to it.

010

showerskeleton.bsky.social @showerskeleton.bsky.social · 04/08/2026

Yeah that part sucks, but at least the battles were actually interesting and had some challenge, which I couldn't say about pretty much any of the battles in the half of 3H I played.

Had a Best of Giant Bomb on recently that featured a bit from the Sonic Boom QL where Jeff yells "What is going on with the framerate in this mother fucking video game!?" within a few seconds of the gameplay starting.

I never beat it but yeah years ago when I got this installed and lightly modded it didn't take long for me to be like "PEOPLE NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THIS, MAN". One of those games that feels like you're uncovering a whole other reality of games when you play it.

showerskeleton.bsky.social @showerskeleton.bsky.social · 30/07/2026

Oh hell yeah KF IV is so good. It definitely takes a bit of effort to figure out, but I had an incredible time playing through it a few years ago. Found it really rewarding to discover what familiar ideas From was already playing around with even before Demon's Souls.

i think one of the biggest underlinings in just how bad the western industry has been about its own legacy is like. myst isnt just an old game. it was final fantasy vii before final fantasy vii. it was that fucking huge.
