Just me trying to enjoy a simple dinner and get a little work done. And then I look up …

My pug, Bernie, stares intently through your soul, hoping Dad gives him a small bite.

Seattle Pride - made all the better when your son asks Mom and Dad to be there with him. Happy Pride everyone. Love who you love. Be who you are. Embrace everything that makes you … you.

Regardless of what I think of the film BACKROOMS, review coming soon, are we really throwing the names Lynch and Kubrick around for a 20-year-old filmmaker who adapted a YouTube series he starting making when he was 16?

Cal hits 60. The AL West is won for the first time since 2001. A first-round bye is almost clinched. And ironically, the Astros lost 6-0 tonight. You gotta love these guys.

This Afghan Whigs record, “Gentlemen,” still smokes and the guitars, percussion, and Greg Dulli’s suave vocals and charisma bursts out of the speakers. College radio days revisited. On canary yellow vinyl no less.

Just saw FLOW, Latvia’s entry for International Feature and a qualified Animated Feature for the Oscars. I’m not sure WILD ROBOT doesn’t have a formidable opponent. What an incredible film.

Trying not to talk to everyone here about the Christmas 1982 cage match between Ric Flair and Kerry Von Erich, which launched the Freebirds/Von Erichs feud which made World Class Championship Wrestling a nationally known wrestling territory for most of the 1980s.

Honest question: Where are all the Blue Lives Matter folks on my social media following the testimony and new video footage shared today? I mean shouldn’t we be celebrating the bravery of these officers? Or was the catch-phrase never really about supporting police whatsoever?

Wait: People do know Critical Race Theory, as a concept, is like 50 years old, right? Right?!?!?! Also it’s generally a bad idea to let something you refuse to believe or acknowledge still live in your head rent free.
