it's cool how if you just put your zines out there, people WILL see them. put your zines for free on itch, with printable files. leave zines in public places, in little libraries. you won't make money but sometimes you'll show a stranger a zine and they'll say "I think I've seen your work before!"

sometimes I worry I'm unable to intellectually engage with art the way many of my peers seem to be able to, but there is no right or wrong way to experience art, I suppose. if once or twice a year I look at something and feel something I can't put into words, that's enough. there is no "enough"

I often challenge myself to work more strictly in black and white because I think it is really effective when done well and is also a good way to stretch my design skills, but goddamn a little bit of grey or tones brings so much depth
