"A DWARF'S TALE" features a wee, hairy beastie that helps a heroine overcome adversity... ANIMAL HELPERS

Glad you exist, frankly! Sometimes life can be ambiguous, dark, difficult - full of both pathos, irony, moral complexity as humans ARE multi faceted! So: following this logic art and books should be likewise...

I prefer flawed, messy, real humans to robots anyday...AI has merits, yes - but unwise to build lots of centres now that use EXCESS WATER when water is diminishing globally...also: who shares in the wealth created? Bernie Sanders may have the right idea...

Dear Lauren, I just QUERIED you with "The Hive" novel. Regards.

Dear Lauren, "The Hive" isn't futuristic but it does have supernatural element...so I think that might count. Regards

"POMODORO"..I thought that means baby potato? Could be wrong but it rings a distant bell...

Dear Lauren, do you accept/consider Literary-Mystery fiction? I see you are receptive to "Literary Prose" but I don't see "Literary" listed as separate genre on your MSWL so am confused! Regards. The novel I wrote also has supernatural element plus a dollop of topical zeitgeists...

Good prompt! It's always honest and refreshing when characters are depicted with a range of emotions, not necessarily always "happy-clappy" with fake tans, shiny motor boats...

Yet others are too often given a death penalty with flimsy evidence...A Felon is a Felon and Eco Cide should be recognised internationally: the deliberate killing of eco systems, crops, livelihoods, farmers, villagers. In parts of the world it's already recognised - praise be

Good taste! Keats certainly appreciated nature and all. If it helps raise awareness of nature and its power to sustain/inspire then that has to be good thing - particularly now. His poetry made deep, lasting impression on me at school! Regards

The globe needs a FREQUENT FLYER TAX levied on the wealthier who fly more and thus pollute more. In the Uk the Green Party & Lib Dems advocate for this but Labour and some Tories still deem this type of tax as "barrier to wealth creation" which it's not! It must be mainstream thinking by most...

020

Sarah Guppy @shortsedinburgh.bsky.social · 25/08/2025

Democracies need BALANCED USE OF STATE apparatus: sometimes setting limits, boundaries but also protecting & serving all not just mega rich & polluters. Currently too much emphasis on immigration maybe but not setting likewise limits to amount of times you can fly without paying a frequent flyer tax

Sarah Guppy @shortsedinburgh.bsky.social · 20/08/2025

There's something in that! Yes, extreme views are a bit mad even though dressed up smartly in hyper expensive grey suits. But after a while anger creates vast amounts of hot air, fear, bullying & doesn't help address shared concerns like climate change, high wealth inequality. TOLERANCE

God could be optional, granted! BUT it's still good to have values, wider beliefs. Things like greater fairness, kindness, honesty, integrity. Qualities that help in the everyday no matter what a nation may be going through, qualities that cut through tribalism...

A bi partisan bill is needed to make bribing of voters illegal and also "hate speech" illegal too...see the violence in Florida Sherriff's recent speech. Moderate Republicans are often afraid to speak out for fear of death threats, abuse. Trump thrives in culture of fear, denial, violence.

MAGA = Make America Grotesque Again with tax cuts for mega rich, continued oil burning, erosion of social security & basic rights, bullying & threatening language used publicly with no accountability. Democrats must come up with new, green, fair policy like global frequent flyer tax...

Sarah Guppy @shortsedinburgh.bsky.social · 20/06/2025

MAGA = Make America Grotesque Again: tax cuts for rich, illegal, heavy handed immigration policy, cut social security, ban books, wreak fear, use violent language which threatens, destroy nature, pollute the air, deny rights...bribe voters, censor talk of climate change...

000

Sarah Guppy @shortsedinburgh.bsky.social · 19/06/2025

The social contract matters: people vote, pay tax, serve in forces, do community service, do jury service and it's reasonable to expect decent public services, Medicare, libraries in return. States have duty to protect & serve & global frequent flyer tax levied on wealthier could raise needed funds

SOME (not all!) Republicans are "pro life" and anti abortion so fiercely that they cannot/will not see equally how climate change more widely ALSO erodes "right to life". Because THAT would mean consulting this same elusive human conscience wouldn't it? A deeply personal thing.

000

Sarah Guppy @shortsedinburgh.bsky.social · 02/06/2025

Musk BRIBED VOTERS in swing states, no other way to say it. And now Republican leaders in those same swing states cannot know to what extent their support reflects only pure greed/financial incentive & what is broader support for policy/ideas. That really matters. Sophomoric Musk & Trump? Fatal flaw

000

Sarah Guppy @shortsedinburgh.bsky.social · 02/06/2025

Trump "buys" time & influence on media machine which ismedium through which semi religious MAGA American story/myth is endlessly peddled. The more paranoid MAGA become (e.g invading privacy with surveillance) the more you know there's no practical, debated policy ideas. More oil & wealth inequality
