so the Switch version of the Trails in the Sky demo got updated earlier after it released to update the localization. i uh. might have encountered another reason why it needed the update just a bit ago

Estelle from Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter. She is in a cutscene saying dialogue in the town of Rolent, standing next to Joshua (just barely out of frame). However, despite the game being played in English, her dialogue is the Japanese script:

「正真正銘、本物のブ・レ・イ・サ・あ☆」
Her spoken dialogue was correctly dubbed, with her saying "I'm a bonafide bracer, you hear?"

here (after looking for a stamp i can't find yet lol) i go in front of the attendant for a minigame requiring a USB camera to play and use the skip signal, which leads to what happened in the top post's video.

however, Nintendo actually thought of this and gave players a "skip signal". if you press the Y button in front of an attendant in front of any demo or minigame that requires a feature or accessory you don't have in the Morse code for S.O.S, you'll be given the necessary amount of medals to proceed

just confirmed it for myself: you DO NOT need a Switch 2 Camera, Joy-Con 2 Charging Grip or Switch 2 Pro Controller to get necessary medals to continue in Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour (nor do you need a 4K compatible TV) #NintendoSwitch2 #WelcomeTour
