Kids for the most part stay in the same community, environment, etc for most of their lives and do not realize the lag until HS or even later. I’m not an expert in this field, but the lockdown shook this concept up. Kids in the same class: 1 had a tutor, 1 had a study bubble, & 1 had no Internet

What is the argument at this point? improved living conditions would help education? My local ballot was full of bonds & I voted yes. Other states choose not to have add-on taxes & complain about lack of resources🤷🏽‍♀️ I live in two states: one with state tax, one without. The difference is stark.

I am not against assisting those in need, but has the conversation leapt from Federal vs Local control of education, to the Fedetal government needs to solve state/local inequities in general? Because the problems listed here are all state handled issues.

This seems to have rendered down to a “gotcha” game. Had a great discussion earlier about how even classroom by classroom needs customization. This one-size-fits all propped up as “fairness” is polemics, and not a true interest in teaching/learning.
