Shoham Jacoby @shohamjac.bsky.social · 06/04/2026In their new paper, Oratomic use a bivariate bicycle code with parameters [[248,10,≤18]] (2603.28627). I thought this is a nice test for my script, and indeed it run for about half an hour and it confirmed that the distance of the code is exactly 18. Pushed the example to the repo, check it out! 120 0
Shoham Jacoby @shohamjac.bsky.social · 04/03/2026Very proud of this new preprint on arXiv, co-authored with #AlexRetzker and #FernandoPastawski. We introduce a new family of quantum codes that can be implemented entirely with two-qubit parity measurements, achieving high rates and large distances. >> 190 0
Shoham Jacoby @shohamjac.bsky.social · 05/01/2026Wrote a (technical) blog post about finding the circuit-level distance of a quantum error correction code using integer linear programming, repo included. Let me know if you find this helpful! shohamjac.github.io/posts/circui...shohamjac.github.ioFinding the Circuit-Level Distance of a Code Using Integer Linear ProgrammingCircuit-level distance is an important measure in fault tolerant quantum computing. It is the number of circuit-level faults that can cause an undetected logical error, and it directly affects the log... 130 0
