The sequel to this is when you're late in the editing process and everything feels horrifically boring until you add the background music and suddenly it's good

Just saw The Invite and why are people still acting surprised when Seth Rogen is really good in something? We have this, The Studio, Fabelmans, Superbad, etc. When will we collectively accept that he's a very talented guy who just also happens to have a silly laugh and be in the film Sausage Party?

The concept of a Nigel Farage vs. Count Binface by-election has only existed for one day and yet it's already brought me enough joy to save up for months

Gonna shout out the return of @thegreatalbums.bsky.social one of my favorite podcasts! Very impactful on my musical taste around ages 17-21, and it's not a coincidence that there's some artist overlap between my music related videos and their early eps (Wrens, Regina Spektor). Highly recommend them!

RIP Shinichiro Sato, the drummer for The Pillows. Most people know them for their contributions to FLCL, but they were one of the most consistent rock bands in history. 20 studio albums over 30+ years, not one of them bad. Here's four of my favorites. Living Field especially is an all-timer.

My sister and I apparently have differing memories of which one of us beat the dance water dance boss fight on our Kingdom Hearts II save file 17 years ago, so before her false narrative starts to spread, I just wanna make sure that everybody here knows; it was me.

By and large there are 5 types of letterbox reviews: 1) "This movie should've been gayer" 2) a funny quote from the movie 3) actual detailed review (yawn) 4) nonsense one liner that adds nothing but is from a popular account 5) "Wow this was gayer than I expected"

Okay so Blue Box was a pretty good anime but I really think that with season 2 they should solve the issue of me responding to every scene no matter what with "Hmmm, Mitsuru Adachi would've written that better"

I think The Colors Within managed to maybe have the best sounding fictional band I've seen in media while also having their songs not seem extremely out of reach for 3 high schoolers to make. Like "Walk" is so simple but beautiful. Wowee

I've talked to a few folks this morning who were talking about stopping work on their creative projects. Because it's "not important anymore." I don't know who needs to hear this, but DON'T DO THAT. We win by living our lives as loudly and truly as we can. That includes your "silly" art project.
