Either way it sounds weird, and so at odds with the rest of the franchise. Traditional authority in these games is typically woefully inept but well-intentioned at best, while grossly manipulative and actively malicious at worst.

Horror Quest has begun. I've played 6 horror games today stretching from 1972 - 1983. Glad I'm not streaming these so far tbh, because it's typically been like 30m-1hr figuring out setups and then around 10-20 minutes playing.

My favorite piece of trivia for this is they painted all the grain to make it more golden. Can't imagine how much paint that would take, but the field shots are incredibly striking.

Hell of a Racket. Free student game that's like a doom clone but you're playing tennis. No skips or glitches, but it's 5-6min and you end with a tennis match against Pickleball Satan.

Automaton Lung, clip out of bounds in the central hub, grab the best weapon from OOB, and fall into the normally blocked off exit into the final escape sequence and boss fight. 3-4min. Ghost Blood, horror game where you can prop jump on top of the walls 4min in and just fall on the end trigger.

Devil Castle on Gamate, where you play through some basic platforming levels then skip every boss fight by just pushing select. <3min total. Mouthole, just a trippy surreal exploration game. Each ending takes anywhere from 3 seconds to 5 minutes.

Mizzurna Falls where you can just sleep to the end in 8min, or do that then just walk into a specific trigger in the woods to get the Good Ending in <15. Remorse: The List, where you fling yourself to the final area with wonky box physics, then grab a cd through the ceiling and finish all in <1min.
