I cannot even begin to explain how much more I have struggled with her weapon compared to literally anything else. Hopefully it will be in a complete enough state to show here soon. #capcom #megaman #fangame #gamedev #gamemaker

I haven't made a proper update in a while so here's a demo showing progress on a weapon as well as Beat since I remember telling someone I'd show what he does. Keep in mind that I'm not an artist, animator, or game dev. A lot of what's seen here isn't perfect and will probably change. #megaman

I genuinely don't know how to feel about this. I've grown so used to Mega Man 11 being the last game we'd get, and the only Classic game to break away from pixel art, so seeing this is so surreal.

Three portraits down. To avoid revealing too much of the game, these will be the only Robot Masters I'll show for quite some time. Character designer: www.art-of-rude.com?fbclid=PAZnR... Character artist: bsky.app/profile/guar... #capcom #megaman #fangame #gamedev #pixelart

I recently finished the stage select portrait for one of the six Robot Masters in my game. I might post more as they come, but probably no more than two. Character designer: www.art-of-rude.com?fbclid=PAZnR... Character artist: bsky.app/profile/guar... #capcom #megaman #fangame #gamedev #pixelart

Almost forgot that I remembered I had an account on here. This is the difference between the old and new sprites on the #megaman #fangame I'm working on. Some stuff may change idk it kinda just happens. #capcom #pixelart #beforeandafter

I'm not gonna lie, I completely forgot I had a Bluesky account. I took several months off from working on the game but I've been back at it since April. A lot has changed since then. Expect updates soon.

Yeah so that comparison post is not going to happen for a while. As I continue remaking the Mega Man object, I'm realizing that I have to redo the entire game since it's easier than modifying the existing game to accommodate the new code. This project is really pushing my patience and perseverance.

Two weeks and 170 animation frames later and I think I've finally finished making all of Mega Man's new sprites. I've already made progress on adding them into the game, but only about 100 or so. Once the new #megaman object is ready I'll post a comparison video here. #gamedev #videogame #capcom

I just realized I accidentally saved my pause menu document with a bunch of layers saved. All the individual assets are now missing or gone because they're either erased or masked out. Fuck dude.

Just made a full body sprite of Mega Man for my fan game. Since I plan on using it for a "weapon get" screen, here's a preview of the color variants for each weapon. #megaman #rockman #capcom #videogame #videogames #fangame #gamedev #art #pixelart #retro #snes #supernintendo #gba #gameboyadvance

Some helpful people over on Reddit gave suggestions on how to improve the art from my previous post. Here's the newest version of it. #megaman #rockman #capcom #art #pixelart #videogame #videogames

Art progress from 2022-2024 while working on my fan game. I used to be afraid of large sprites with lots of colors, but I think I've finally gotten over that fear now. 2022 sprite: 38x38, 9 colors 2024 sprite: 65x60, 19 colors #megaman #capcom #fangame #videogame #videogames #fanart #pixelart

While I bang my head against a wall redoing all of Mega Man's code, here's a mockup I did to test sprites for one of the Robot Master stages. Any guesses on location or Robot Master name? #megaman #capcom #pixelart #art #gamedev #gamemaker #gamemakerstudio #gamemakerstudio2 #videogame #videogames

Recently I redid all of Mega Man's animations for my fan game, and it went really well, but implementing them caused/revealed so many bugs that it made me realize I just need to redo Mega Man all together. That's over two years of code and animations completely scrapped. You can tell I'm thrilled.

Since I'm new here and haven't properly introduced myself to the people following me – My name is Masuki and for the last two years I have been developing a Mega Man fan game that aims to shake up the conventions of the Classic series tell an original story set in an alternate timeline. (1/3)

Currently in the process of remaking all of Mega Man's animations for my fan game. It's not a process I enjoy, but the final results will definitely be worth it. #megaman #rockman #capcom #fangame #videogame #videogames #gamedev #gamemakerstudio #gamemaker
