Nah. Zip is more useful as an interchange media for me.

Hayward @shiroishimatora.bsky.social · 10/10/2026

I should get a Zip drive for the core 2 duo build on the left.

Oh yeah I forgot I had a few project computers.

In summary: holy shit my espresso machine is actually better now.

But the shots I’m pulling now are so much more balanced. The latte I’m having this morning tastes like a latte from one of Ceremony Coffee’s cafes. And they fixed the issue with the water tank where the float sensor comes loose if you fill it more than 2/3 of the way full.

My espresso machine had always been slightly off since I bought it. Pressure was always just a bit too high 10-11 bar instead of 9. Since I got it repaired, it’s consistently 9 bar. So it’s been calibrated professionally. Unfortunately I’ve had to waste a good bit of beans to dial in a good shot

Oh holy shit I get to go to Randy’s Donuts next week. The one from the sixties with the big doughnut on top of the building.

Went to a computer museum today with @hobbituscaesar.bsky.social. I got to nerd out and show him some historically important computers.

Me: why is my NAS so loud tonight? Also me: realizes it’s technically October 1st now and my ZFS pool has a scrub task on the first of each month.

It’s been repaired! Pump was replaced. It’ll be on its way back to me shortly.

Hayward @shiroishimatora.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

It’s been delivered. Hope to hear back from them in the next few days about what needs to be repaired.

Well that was a trip. Also several cultural references in TV shows now make sense.

The homebrew package manager for macOS no longer supports Intel-based Macs. I was not discussing Linux at this time.

Homebrew no longer supports Intel Macs? What the fuck.

Hayward @shiroishimatora.bsky.social · 19/09/2026

Huh. I didn’t realize US Cellular got bought by T-Mobile. That was the last non-MVNO carrier outside of the big three.
