Apologies - I originally wanted to charge only 99p a month for pro, but literally 100% of the 75 beta testers said it wasn't enough and they wanted £5 a month, but I settled on a mid way at £3. This was also set nearly 2 years ago and hasn't increased as my costs have increased and I don't plan 1/?

Absolutely incorrect here - the calendar was only ever created and intended as a QOL tool for anyone, anywhere to be able to see what's going on. You can access the calendar and view all the details without having to even sign up to the website

That's not how people get introduced to the hobby? The calendar is there for people to get involved with as they see fit. You don't HAVE to take part. Also they aren't all 'competitions', and nearly 95% of the events hosted on the site are community ran as they want to run.

You don't have to use the website, neither does anyone? To have access to funds to support development, servers and services I need to raise money. I tried a donate system to support the site and managed a whole half a month of server costs over 7 years. Pro exists with features to thank support

Would I like everyone to run events through the site? Sure that'd be lovely! What I ACTUALLY want though is a calendar system so community members can see when events are going on and be able to take part? Its 100% genuinely with the aim to bring people together.

The price of the cheapest subscription for context is £3 a month which is nearly half the price of a Twitch sub or a coffee. Also, how can you base a main gripe off of an allegation, which btw is an incorrect one.

Ambassadors and myself enter into an agreement when they onboard to essentially promise each other to represent one another appropriately, just like any agreement for representation for any brand? Its standard. Paywalling being there is to keep the project running and growing as much as possible.

Good news then, home sprites are an option, but also, myself and multiple artists from the community spent hours recolouring the box sprites and are now the default, so you can choose those over the home ones!
