I'm participating in the beta test for Alexa+ in Japan, and the quality of the Japanese language has clearly declined. In particular, there are many cases where Japanese-specific expressions and the readings of Kanji characters are incorrect.

On the other hand, it’s very unfortunate that Sakana AI doesn’t have an application like Claude Code that allows for the vertical integration of Sakana’s AI. Also, in terms of stability, it’s still better to use frontier models directly.

Plus, they benefit from the whole open-weight ecosystem, and I feel their success kind of reinforces the case for open-weight models in the first place. It's almost like crossbreeding AI models, and it's more interesting than training a single model.

If your goal was to seed a 100M+ network, you couldn't wish for a better set of 10M monthly active users than Bluesky's. Of course Threads numbers are gamed to hell by Meta's aggressive cross-app integration and paid marketing. What remains of Twitter is still the incumbent competitor.

I've been handling pretty much all my daily tasks remotely using Claude Code and Claude Cowork. Most of the time, I don't even need my laptop anymore—it's great to finally be location-independent.

The reason I ended up abandoning that component development, though, was partly because I'm really a backend developer, and I was worried that if I created these components, people's UIs would end up becoming too standardized—limited by the expressive constraints of those components. (2/3)

Not yet, I previously thought that user defined lexicons weren’t very demanded, so I was only using this for generating source code from the official lexicon. But, if we extend it to accept a custom lexicon as an argument, I believe it should work fine :)
