I will finally show you some of the works that I did not publish here with my OCs in 2025! #OC #digitalart #digitalartist #originalcharacter #mylore #traditionalart

As I mentioned earlier, there have been many posts about the reasons for my long absence, so I decided to write about it in a separate post so that I can post my work (whether it's a drawing, a DiY, or a story about my characters) without having to explain why I haven't been around for a long time.

And this has continued to this day! As for the present time, I have given myself freedom not only in terms of when I feel comfortable drawing and when I publish my work, but also in terms of the type of art I create.

🪽 Shinju Hakutsuru @shinjuhakutsuru.bsky.social · 08/01/2026

After COVID, I was unable to return to drawing properly, and I was only able to create one piece per month until the end of 2021. In early 2022, the same pattern continued until May. At the same time, I was drawing 2 pictures a month, and if I was lucky, I was drawing 3 or more.

(I'm still amazed at how productive I used to be). In the fall of the same year, I posted a video on my now-abandoned TikTok account, saying that I would be drawing three times a week, and I did just that. But what did it lead to? Burnout, and this was during the COVID-19 pandemic!

Art blocks are natural for creative people, and there's nothing problematic about them, especially since they're temporary! It's better to take a break and come back with renewed energy! At the beginning of 2021, I was incredibly productive, creating works almost every day!

Why might I be missing out? Why is it that my work is rarely published? The reasons are actually quite simple and boring: 1. Life's commitments. I hope I don't need to explain why. 2. Creative crises, blocks, and prejudices.

The reason for writing this post was the fact that I had a lot of messages and posts explaining why I hadn't been around for a long time or why I wouldn't be around in the future, as well as sharing my experience with social media and expressing my thoughts.

I love when art inspires fic writers and then they write something for the art and the artist goes wild And then on the other side when a writer inspires an artist to make something and they share it and the author goes wild Authors 🤝 artists

Greetings, little cranes! I have come to you with very important information! After much thought, I decided that I would still take a break from social media, or as they call it in a fashionable way, "I'll take a rest."

It might hurt my bottom line, but I’m probably going to stop posting art to Twitter entirely and I suggest you do too. Not only is the site actively putting a “Okay, now remix this” button below art (and elevating them above the OP with a QRT) and it’s false flagging original art as made by AI.

💌 Happy new year, my dear cranes! And happy birthday to my cookie run OC, Esterházy cookie 💌 #cookierunoc #cookierun #sketch #oc #originalcharacter

"Since the new year has come, it means that it's your birthday too, dear Esterhazy!
You know, when I created you purely to develop the plot further, I didn't even know that you would become more than just a character in the future! Thanks to you, I began to understand myself better, I began to understand what I really want.
So many memories have accumulated, so many interesting events that at least create a book!
I hope your birthday and New Year will be the most wonderful! Happy birthday, Esterhazy! Be happy as well as your family and friends! 💓🌸
Your creator, Mama Crane!"
Happy New Year, my dear cranes! Peaceful skies and all the best to all! 💓🌸

🪽 Reference of my new mascot - Shinju Hakutsuru 🪽 #oc #originalcharacter

Shinju is a pearl, Hakutsuru (Haku is white, tsuru is a crane, aka a white crane). Sometimes called simply the Crane
Height, age and race are indicated in the reference!
She is Japanese by nationality.
In most cases, Shinju spends time in the body of a bird, only occasionally turning into a human.
She has a gentle and good-natured nature. Shinju enjoys music and drawing in her free time, and also invites friends to visit her so that they can speak to her over a cup of tea, and she will speak to them. And if someone needs help, then the girl will definitely help and give advice for the future!
The voice is quite gentle and average. In some circumstances, her tone may be loud. Sometimes you can hear outdated words in her speech that few people use.

However, this does not mean that I will abandon Misami! I plan to rewrite her story to make it more suitable for my lore, as well as make a redesign. Well, I hope you like Shinju very much, as well as your warm and welcoming welcome to my new mascot! 💓🌸
