iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

I believe it to be the most mature option to do this, and hope all those who are my regulars understand. I love seeing y'all, and thank you so much for being there, but definitely this. My mental and physical health will be all the better for it when I can officially come back!

000

I felt drained after one hour last stream and probably went longer than I should have. So, while doing some soul searching, fixing, solving, and other shit, the break shall be had. I just want to ensure all is good. And maybe even if I can't this summer, there will be more in the future.

100

I love playing games on stream but with the sharp decline I've taken I can tell I need some more time for myself right now. I will be okay, and this isn't to worry anyone, but I'd rather be at my best and be able to give my all when I'm live. Right now that isn't sometjing I feel confident in doing.

100

As desperately as I wanted to, as much as I wanted to, I've made the difficult choice to likely not retun to streaming this summer. I'll still post my minis progress and art here, but I have some health shit I DESPERATELY need to work through and its in my best interests not to return yet.

So far so good! Neko is gonna join me tonight for a chill SWTOR stream tonight while we just do some objective grinding and chatting! Looking to do some art streams this summer and maybe mini painting if I can get a cam set up. Looking into music for art streams too so it isn't silent while I work!

000

Shimo Ryu @shimoryu.bsky.social · 06/07/2026

Should my head not be hurting tomorrow, I will very likely be returning to streaming for the summer! I'm looking at Tuesdays (5pst) that I don't have D&D and Thursdays (6:30pst) every week. Games are TBD so we'll see what we end up with!

...This is gonna be REALLY funny with his Rogue Trader counterpart TRUST! I am having way too much fun with this absolute rabbit hole I have fallen down and will not find my way out of any time soon. :'D I'm playing hard and fast with lore here and there. I'm just vibing and having a good time!

000

So uhhh... Remember Rasui from about a month ago? Weeeeell, at some point in his plotline he ends up making a deal with Tzeentch so of course I had to cook up a daemon-y design for him cause why not? Goes by Aasar in this form. (I have more notes but I can't do all my jabbers in one post. :'D)

100

One of my bosses at work said I could take pics of these guys with the macro lenses and I'm very excited to finish! Got a lot more painting to do before then, but will def be posting more progress and the finished photoshoot!

Shimo Ryu @shimoryu.bsky.social · 22/06/2026

Baby's first few Warhammer minis! (I did Ahriman too, because I love that disaster, but I don't have any good pics of him yet). Still learning things (go easy on meeee), but having fun! Probs could have started with something easier but I really like the Thousand Sons. :')

130

Playing Rogue Trader on vibes alone is funny because sometimes you vibes too hard and then its just screams and fast save file reloading. :'D

000

Shimo Ryu @shimoryu.bsky.social · 22/06/2026

Today on "what did we learn?" gaming shenanigans, Shimos learned to save often juuuust in case they say something wrong and lose a companion they love. :') (I'm sorry Heinrix, I'll replay from the beginning of the area since I just have an auto-save and be less of a butt. :'))

Shimo Ryu @shimoryu.bsky.social · 17/06/2026

Also, I have decided NOT to stream this summer till we get the AC set up on the office. My laptop has heating problems and I think most games that I stream aside from Pokemon will probably kill it. Rogue Trader last night was even kind of dicey. Soooo yeah. :')

000

Shimo Ryu @shimoryu.bsky.social · 17/06/2026

Rogue Trader Shenanigans: Me: I've been doing a shockingly good job being very reasonable in the grimdark game! *someone tries to kill Cassia* Me: ...Soooo, executing her for trying to kill the sweet Navigator. Yeah? (I have failed at my job of being somewhat reasonable. :'D)

Shimo Ryu @shimoryu.bsky.social · 07/06/2026

SWTOR Sunday from the old days is coming back for one week! Tomorrow at 1pm PST, Neko and I are gonna blind stream the newest patch! Come hoin us for screams, Sheems updates, and the usual shenanigans! :)

000

Shimo Ryu @shimoryu.bsky.social · 29/05/2026

This entire playthrough so far can be summarized as: Rasui (My Rogue Trader): I am out here living my best life! Abelard: ...I do not like it when the Lord Captain is living his best life.

000

Shimo Ryu @shimoryu.bsky.social · 29/05/2026

Been gremlin-ing my way through Rogue Trader as my current game playthrough. DELIGHTED that my idiot psyker gets a bird and that the devs let him attempt to pet the bird. 10/10! :'D (Working on simplified designs of the main comps right now so I can doodle some comics of stuff that has happened!)

Shimo Ryu @shimoryu.bsky.social · 23/05/2026

I added both the with text and without text versions of the ref sheet because I felt like it but was soooo tempted to just post without. Embrace cringe is dead freely and whole-heartedly y'all! (Don't judge me. ;-;)

000

Shimo Ryu @shimoryu.bsky.social · 23/05/2026

...Look at me being brave and posting recent Shimo art of my Warhammer 40k boy despite me being embarrassing and thinking he's a little cringe-y despite living by cringe is dead! :'D ....If y'all look at the tumblr version. I rambled so hard. You are spared by character limit here. :')

Shimo Ryu @shimoryu.bsky.social · 22/05/2026

...Given I've spent the lat two hours at work pouring through lore t work and my brain is now mush I made a meme to call myself out. :'D

000

Shimo Ryu @shimoryu.bsky.social · 18/05/2026

On the note of personal projects! While I am planning to post more art here on occation, you'll get the most out of that from my art/writing tumblr here! Come follow that if you wanna see what I draw alongside my writen works in more detail than I can ramble on here! leapofthekoi.tumblr.com

Shimo Ryu @shimoryu.bsky.social · 18/05/2026

SWTOR devs said end of May last livestream sooo should have a new stream date soon for the last Legacy of the Sith patch! Summer Stream dates are still tbd, and may not start up till late June. I've been... so tired and could use some time for my own projects before getting back into things.

Shimo Ryu @shimoryu.bsky.social · 15/05/2026

...When my brain stops hyperfixating on my Warhammer boy for five minutes might start sketching the other guardian mages that are flitting around ideas-wise in my head. We'll see!

000

Shimo Ryu @shimoryu.bsky.social · 15/05/2026

Finally finished lining this so yay! New character art coming together! May have more jabbers later and I need ANOTHER ref sketch for another idea on top of the two on this sheet, but hey! We goin'! :'D

000

Shimo Ryu @shimoryu.bsky.social · 11/05/2026

...I have three whole sketch sheets for my idiot sanctioned psyker boy. I swear I can fall gently into new interests. :'D (I can't line and color till I get a hold of the scanner at work tomorrow but I wanna so baaad! Post migraine clarity is a blessing and a curse!! :'D)

000

Shimo Ryu @shimoryu.bsky.social · 06/05/2026

I can really only stream during the Summer nowadays, so figured I'd start sharing the writing and art I do in the meantime. This one is of my new SW5e character, Lord Taral! More details in tumblr link since I can't type a ton here. :') www.tumblr.com/leapofthekoi...

000

Shimo Ryu @shimoryu.bsky.social · 06/05/2026

I classically have a weakness for anything involving siblings (especially brothers) having been very close to mine growing up so that'll always get me. :') (Just started off with the Thousand Sons stuff with the books and love it so far!)

Shimo Ryu @shimoryu.bsky.social · 06/05/2026

...I did not have crying like a baby over a scene in a Warhammer 40k book on my bingo card for today YET HERE WE ARE! Ahriman giving up his symbol of his brother to the sorrows guy smacked me in the gut and I am happy I wasn't at work when I read that part! (New hyperfixation, may ramble. :'D)

Been looking at photos, videos, and news of the Artemis II launch since I missed it on Wednesday and legit tearing up at it all! A beautiful event! I hope they all make it home safely and collect good data and more beautiful footage! The one of Earth is amazing! www.bbc.com/news/article...

I'm super excited! We went to the fish store today and I got advice on how to set up my planted tank! Guy was super nice and friendly about answering all my questions on what kinda plants to use, filtration system, and how to get the cycle going! So gonna get started on that soon!! :D

Follow up to yesterday's repost, I saw the full list of places today, not just the well known ones. Many are VERY precious to me, and aren't old enough to be protected from anything (not that I think that would actually help). So please, if you see that post and can, leave a comment. Thanks.

Hello y'all, I don't post political stuff here much, or at all. I try to avoid it. But this issue is very dear to me. These are the forests I grew up running around in and love dearly. If any of you can offer words of encouraging this not come to pass, I greatly implore that you do so. Thanks!

000

Shimo Ryu @shimoryu.bsky.social · 28/02/2026

I can't add onto posts to make the chain on mobile because my buttons are all messed up! So follow up to the last post: I look forward to the little times I can pop back in and vibe with y'all and cherish every moment I have! It brings me a lot of joy to just know I have the energy to do so!

Shimo Ryu @shimoryu.bsky.social · 28/02/2026

I said I was gonna come back last winter break, that wasn't entirely a lie, it WAS the plan but I got smacked by exhaustion and a hurt wrist. Wrist is still healing, but you can expect me to stream next SWTOR patch blind for sure! I won't be coming back full schedule till summer though.

Shimo Ryu @shimoryu.bsky.social · 25/11/2025

SWTOR Wednesdays and variety game Mondays! ...with a random Tuesday stream with the new SWTOR patch drops because you all KNOW I'm excited for more story! :D Looking forward to seeing all my lovely Minnows again soon! I'll keep y'all updated when there's an actual start date and times!

Shimo Ryu @shimoryu.bsky.social · 25/11/2025

Hello hello! And apologies for the silence. School term and illnesses have been kicking my ass, but the end of the term is coming and with winter break I shall return! I'm lowkey planning the same schedule I had in the summer with possible exceptions and move arounds for the holidays.
