Huh. Seems like outlining vague shapes in nebulas and placing cities where the brightest stars are is a pretty decent way to start drawing a fantasy map.
A picture of a red nebula in space with a black outline drawn around some of its clouds to make a possible outline for a landmass. Black dots have also been made on the brightest stars within the outlines.

Just got home from seeing Hope, that new Korean monster movie. What an absolute blast, omg. Go see it. The less you know beforehand, the better.

Oooo, interesting question. Probably the world of The Reclamation Project: Year One edited by John R. Robey. It's a solarpunk anthology world with an optimistic outlook and a lot of technology that borders on magic. It even inspired a story of mine: www.shilohskye.com/post/the-way...

18) Do you like historical books? Which Time period? Oh yeah, I love seeing how furries function in any time period. Rukis's books are all wonderfully history-inspired, and the anthologies by the Furry Historical Fiction Society are fantastic. I also love The Dry Spell by Ryan Loup-Glissant.

17) Top 5 children's books? Uhhh... I have a few that might work well for younger audiences! Tales of Scales by Michael Mielle The Resonance Tetralogy by Hugo Jackson Axinstone by J.F.R. Coates The Tower and the Fox (middle grade) The Zyearth Chronicles (middle grade to young adult)

12) Did you enjoy any compulsory high school readings? I credit The Lord of the Flies with showing me that a book can do more than just telling a story. It made me obsessed with symbolism and thematic depth. But Fahrenheit 451 was then and is now my favorite classic. It's extremely relevant today.

11) What nonfiction books do you like, if any? The closest would be Writer Ways by Tim Susman, which is Kyell Gold's recently released craft book. I highly recommend it if you're a writer, because it has some extremely helpful advice and novel writing exercises.

10) Do you have a guilty fave? So before I got into furry fiction, I read The Kingkiller Chronicle by Patrick Rothfuss, and I sorta fell in love with the prose. But man, you can tell the author is REALLY overly proud of his main character, and there's a fair bit of problematic stuff in there too.

9) When do you tend to read the most? In the evenings and on weekends. I try to read before bed, though I often fall victim to YouTube shorts. I also listen to audiobooks and The Voice of Dog podcast on my commute to and from work. Sometimes I sneak some reading in on work from home days, too.

8) What is the first book you remember reading yourself? Oh my god I found it. Apparently it was Marvin Redpost: Kidnapped at Birth. I remember it because my first grade teacher gave it to me to see if I could move ahead to reading "books without pictures."

7) Was there a series or book that got you back into reading? Technically The Animal in Man: Violent Mind by Joseph Asphahani got me back into reading. I read a few normie books that weren't hitting after that. Then the Fire Bearers trilogy by Ryan Campbell turned me into a furry fiction devotee.

6) What books have you read in the last month? It's been a slow month for me because I've been in the proofreading mines, but so far: The Morning After edited by J.F.R. Coates Science Friction by Kyell Gold Game of Life by Rob MacWolf and Alex Vance

5) Where do you buy books? Why there are all sorts of lovely furry fiction retailers out there! Give em' a look! I also use @libro.fm for some audiobooks because Audible has become cartoonishly villainous. Seriously, if you use Audible, you might want to check on what they just stole from you.

3) Favorite Genre? Furry Fiction Fantasy Books like Wolf of Withervale by Joaquin Baldwin, God of Clay by Ryan Campbell, and Elancia Chronicles by Leilani Wilson and Emma Carruthers are my jam. Add a hint of history, like Hearttheft by Rukis or The Tower and the Fox by Tim Susman for bonus points.

1) Book you've read the most times? I think I've read both Wolf of Withervale and Masks of the Miscam by Joaquín Baldwin three times. First was for fun, second was for the audiobooks, and third was to prep for proofreading the rest of the saga.

I finished listening to Game of Life by @robmacwolf.thevoice.dog and @khaki.dog and I'm immediately reading it again in print because it feels like a story where you'll notice a lot more on a second read. There are so many highlights worth annotating, too. What a book. #FurryWriting #Booksky
