CPPIB’s public meetings start in under two weeks. Since the last round, it has dropped its net-zero commitment, put $6B into fossil fuels in 2025 alone, been hit with a climate-risk legal challenge, and still has no Indigenous rights policy.

Today, the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPP Investments or CPPIB) released its Third Quarter Fiscal 2026 results. The quarterly results show that CPPIB made nearly $2 billion in fossil fuel investments between October 1 and December 31, 2025.

Ontario's University Pension Plan maintained a strong B+, and the Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System (OMERS) earned its strongest score yet after multi-year moves to shift capital into renewable energy, storage and electrification, and selling almost all privately held fossil fuel assets.
