I agree. The soundtrack is perfect! I listen to it while I work (even though I'm not a huge fan of metal).

And yours is hardcover. Very beautiful editions 😍✨

I loved this game and want to play it again with better graphics. Plus, I still haven't played the extra content. I think I'll go for the PS5 version.

Shey🌸🍃 @sheyrosewind.bsky.social · 07/07/2026

hahahahah I swear! I procrastinate while sketching sonic. I need to finish illustrating two children's books! 😅😂

Shey🌸🍃 @sheyrosewind.bsky.social · 03/07/2026

I'm really torn between the PS5 version and the "Definitive Edition" for Switch 2 for that reason. I own the digital Switch 1 version, and I could pick up a used physical copy for the PS5 for less.

Sometimes I draw as a warm-up, and it just comes out without me thinking. I don't know. 😅

Shey🌸🍃 @sheyrosewind.bsky.social · 03/07/2026

That’s why I said it was a great sale. 😝 But there’s also the currency difference. They just arrived and I’ve opened them all. I love them! Each volume comes with a different poster and bookmark. 💕

Shey🌸🍃 @sheyrosewind.bsky.social · 02/07/2026

I don't think it's completely free of all that, but I heard it's an improvement over the PS5, for example, since it's a more recent update. Although the PS5 version has better graphics. 🤔

Good luck! 👍 You made me want to read/have the physical comics. A great sale was announced on Amazon today, so I just bought the first 12 volumes; they arrive on Friday.

That really reminds me of Sonic SatAM, where Robotnik roboticize the characters and they’d still move around... it’s along those lines. Okay, I won't say anything else. 🤐

Yes, hahah The metal virus is a zombie arc

120

Shey🌸🍃 @sheyrosewind.bsky.social · 29/06/2026

I agree; that’s what I wanted most, too. Especially since they didn't just release a graphics update for the Switch 2—I have to buy the full game all over again—so I’d prefer the physical version on PS5.

Shey🌸🍃 @sheyrosewind.bsky.social · 29/06/2026

You mean the Metal Virus arc, right? It's very stressful for Blurblue. 🥲 Man, I'm trying so hard not to spoil anything, it's better you read it haha.

110

Shey🌸🍃 @sheyrosewind.bsky.social · 29/06/2026

Haha, my English isn't good enough for that job! 😆 But I'd gladly accept getting the shiny foil covers as payment. And yes, Scrapnik Island definitely has that spooky vibe!

110

Shey🌸🍃 @sheyrosewind.bsky.social · 27/06/2026

I don't know the exact release schedule, but it started being published here in 2021, and the latest one I saw on Amazon is Vol. 17 (#68). But translated by fans, almost instantly, haha. I do have the English/IDW edition of Scrapnik Island, though, because it’s a really beautiful spin-off!

Shey🌸🍃 @sheyrosewind.bsky.social · 27/06/2026

I read them online a while ago, so I'm pretty behind now. Still not sure if I'll buy them like yours and in English or wait for more translated volumes here. The second option will probably be easier.

Shey🌸🍃 @sheyrosewind.bsky.social · 27/06/2026

Wow, that's gonna be a fun journey! I'm a slow reader too, but it's nice having a lot to read instead of waiting month by month. And when the story gets really good ( *ahem* Metal Virus arc 😆), it's hard to stop. +

Shey🌸🍃 @sheyrosewind.bsky.social · 26/06/2026

I'm glad that was helpful! Did you already read any of them online and decide to buy them, or are you just starting to read the original physical copies?

110

Shey🌸🍃 @sheyrosewind.bsky.social · 25/06/2026

I'm not telling 😆 By November I'll finally have more time for my personal projects again, and I'll try to make this one happen.

Shey🌸🍃 @sheyrosewind.bsky.social · 25/06/2026

IDW is currently releasing collection editions that compile the comic volumes. From what I've seen, they're up to Collection Vol. 6 so far, so it's still pretty easy to buy them all and keep up with future releases. As for Archie, I honestly can't say for sure.

My goal is to finish this drawing today, but only after I get through all of my work for the day, and there's a good chance I won't be able to. I'm really sad about that. 🥲😔 #sonicthehedgehog #Sonic35th
