First art on the new tablet yippeee! Realized halfway through that I don't dig the brush I've been using lately all that much. It's a good brush don't get me wrong, especially for lineart, just the texture is too harsh in the shading for my taste/style.

Idk how to put it. It feels like Sheo: That's me, it simply is and there is no way to change that even if I wanted to. Chevron: Feels like a costume, a very comfy one that's fun to be in, but still just a costume. I -could- easily wear that costume 24/7, but then I'd be wearing a costume 24/7.

Now I have recently (over the past like 3 years or so) gotten back into playing with self inserts and selfshipping, you know just for myself. But I rarely ever use Sheo for that. I find myself mostly using another OC, Chevron, for such purposes.

That's something I did very deliberately during their inception, to avoid the situation I ran into with previous sonas who had deep lore and were involved in their own stories and had relationships with other OCs- That in turn blocked me from identifying with them on a deeper level.

For me it's "Lauchsuppe" ("Leek soup" in german), I don't have a recipe that I can link because I use the one that my grandma taught me, but I wrote it down for you:

Ingredients:
500g ground beef
3 Leeks
250g soft cheese (Or cheese spread? Not sure on the translation)
100g grated cheese (I like to use Gouda)
150g crème fraîche or sour cream
1l* broth, homemade or store bought instand powder is fine
Salt, Pepper and powdered Nutmeg to taste
Optional: I like to add in some finely chopped carrots and celery as well. And smoked Paprika powder because that makes everything better.

* I actually honestly don't know the exact amount of liquid I have always just gone by vibe, but it should be enough to cover all the ingredients.

1. Cut the Leeks. First half it along its length, then cut into fine rings Many people remove the dark green parts but I don't mind those so I use them. Also cut other vegetables if you add them. Set aside.

2. Fry ground beef in some oil, preferrably in the soup pot not a seperate pan. Make sure it gets to a nice brown from all sides, and break it up so it's as fine as you can get it.

3. Add leek (and veggies) on top, then fill up with the broth.

4. Let it simmer until the leek starts to fall apart, but not until it's complete mush. Stir occasionally.

5. Turn off the heat and add in all the cheese and crème fraîche. Stir until all has melted into a nice, creamy soup.

6. Add salt, pepper and nutmeg to your liking

7. Serve with some fresh bread or baguette.

Also I should mention that in this setting, Elves (along with humans and dwarves) fill the narrative role that are typically reserved for orcs, goblins, trolls and the like in fantasy media: They are the "evil species", the bad guys who's evilness the reader is not expected to put into question.

No problem! And yeah, the variegated versions are way more common for sure. Only solid green ones I've personally seen were the curly leaf ones, but I know there are some plain old straight and green Chlorophytum species out there.

First I'm pretty sure is some Chlorophytum (spiderplant) species, maybe some non variegated Comosum variant Second looks like Hylotelephium Spectabile (showy stonecrop) or a similar species to me. Both are easy to care for, hardy plants without any special requirements in my experience.
