I thought covering the face was a requirement for sleep, or is that just for torties?

Does this mean ACX issues the 1099 form to my producer?

U.S. Publishers will have royalties earned in the prior tax year reported on the Form 1099-MISC. We issue these Forms on or before January 31 each year.

These are the words spoken in the intro of her Rebel Heart Tour back in 2015. I feel it's appropriate today. This was part of my inspiration for my current WIP, Forgotten Parallels.

For some reason, my cat is now terrified of me when I'm holding a bowl of cereal. It makes no sense at all. Twice this week, she ran away with her fur all ruffled when she saw me holding the bowl. Why? I don't want to keep scaring her. She is currently hiding under the bed.

It's all fixed now. One little setting caused all the trouble.

Here's a little bit from my WIP, Forgotten Parallels, to show why it will probably be banned. It's a little political.

“You can't go out to look for them. Not together.” Mary sat on the coffee table facing Sara and Em. “A woman alone is assumed to be running errands. Two women together will be stopped and questioned.”

“Alys was alone,” Em said.
Sara grabbed Em’s hand. “She was listening to music. That's what Dawn said.”

Scarlet sat on the couch and leaned forward with her arms on her knees. “Music, at least rock music, is illegal. Other music is only allowed in approved locations. The ballet. The symphony. Private listening is allowed in homes, but if someone suspects rock music, they can report it for a reward. If Alys was singing along with her music, she could be in real trouble.”

Em shifted in her seat. “No women out together. Why?”

Sara squeezed Em's hand. “It must be because they want to prevent Mary from accessing her magic. Someone here must think she needs a partner for the magic to work.” She glanced at Mary. “But I think your magic would work without them.” She gestured to Cassandra and Scarlet.

“What else should we know about this world?” Em asked.

Mary stood and paced as she spoke. “Women’s professions are limited. I won’t get into details, but it’s the pay and job type that are limited. I’m a … I was a teacher. My curriculum was strictly set. It wasn’t like that when I started, but over time, the laws and regulations changed. I teach linguistics, and I tried to teach that mathematics and music were a type of language.”

“I assume that didn’t end well,” Em said. “What happened?”

Mary stopped and closed her eyes. “My husband brought me to New York and tried to kill me. He thinks I’m dead. Everyone thinks I’m dead.” She flinched when someone knocked on the front door.

My latest book is available on Kindle. I don't think it's absolutely necessary to read book one first, but book one does explain the magic more thoroughly. There's a bit of a recap section at the beginning of this one, just in case someone reads it first. a.co/d/fCdp6Lz

It's weird getting used to a new online space. I really don't know what to say at this point. I don't want to throw all my book stuff at people, not all at once. So, it's late, and I need sleep. Here's a photo of my cat. I hope you like her. Her name is Miss Ellie Fluffy Butt.
