I am incredibly happy to see Albertans rally around the Forever Canadian movement but I’m also so very tired of the continued grievance and trying to use separation as leverage. All provinces need to hold their own govts to account while asking for federal change

This also brings to reason why Canadians do not want the F-35’s!!!!!! The US administration is compromised

The current leader of the opposition opposing a public fund raiser to restore the home of our prime minister is next level ironic. Perhaps he should move out of his publicly funded fully staffed home?...

Every SK taxpayer needs to reach out to their MLA about AI. States and communities are protesting because of the noise and the impact on water. The Sask Party has not been transparent on the consequences

I am far from a Scott Moe fan but during his interview with Vassey Kapelos he talked about people continuing to look thru the rear view mirror will continue to be frustrated and we need to look forward. If only the UCP and CPC could adopt that stance

the provinces sometimes ignore the cost to Canadian taxpayers when they are funding a project. We have a federal government that wants to engage every part of Canada in this growth and it’s time for cooperation not petulance and grievance

It’s disappointing to see Premiers fighting over what province is getting what and behaving like they are in Junior High. All western provinces have had major projects approved and our Premiers need to recognize equitable doesn’t mean equal. Any funding for these projects are paid by taxpayers and

The fact that Albertans won’t make a different choice for even one election cycle is what got them here. UCP knows they can do whatever they want with no repercussions. Political ideology trumps failing healthcare and education and a long list of corruption

Within a week, we went from Danielle Smith using Jesus to justify a pipeline to calling the law "anti-democratic" for upholding Treaty rights. Stewardship is a "sacred duty" for extraction, but an "obstacle" when it involves the people here first. You can't be a steward & ignore the stewards #abpoli
A hand-drawn three-panel infographic titled “The Stewardship Shift in Alberta” compares three different ideas of stewardship using simple symbolic illustrations and handwritten-style text on a textured paper background.

The left panel, titled “1. The Spiritual Pitch” in brown lettering, shows a large Christian cross beside a black oil drop symbol. The text argues that oil is framed as a “God-given resource,” referencing the biblical Parable of the Talents to justify resource extraction and industrial growth as a form of religious stewardship.

The middle panel, titled “2. The Original Standard” in green lettering, features a circular landscape icon containing mountains, a river, and a plant. The text explains stewardship through First Nations principles of reciprocity and responsibility to future generations, emphasizing protecting water, land, and ecosystems rather than extraction.

The right panel, titled “3. The Political Pivot” in dark red lettering, displays a judge’s gavel crossed out by a prohibition symbol. The text critiques political arguments that portray Indigenous consultation and treaty rights as obstacles to pipeline and industrial development.

A black banner stretches across the bottom of the image with the question in large white handwritten text: “IS IT ‘STEWARDSHIP’ IF YOU IGNORE THE PEOPLE WHO WERE HERE FIRST?”

The federal government is bending over backwards to give them "special treatment" and they are still whining and want to separate even though most Albertans don't want to. There is no pleasing her and her followers! Time to call their bluff and ignore their temper tantrums!

NATO countries defend allies who are attacked; they do not help those who engage in wars of aggression. The Trump administration cannot grasp this concept. It is all about themselves and nobody else.

I am not opposed to a pipeline but I am opposed to AB using the threat of separation to reduce regulations and environmental and indigenous interests. @mark-carney.bsky.social has stood up to the bully to the south and we must be careful how much we capitulate to separatists

Yes! I know many Saskatchewan residents would be against it just as Albertans are but we need to be loud. The forever Canada movement in AB has been hindered by the UCP as they consolidate power yet there has not been much pushback

I recently wrote and asked my MLA and Premier to clarify their position on separation and there was silence. As a group is going to rally for a referendum we need to let our MLAs know our position.

American school children call it an ordinary day of terror in which they must cope without benefit of any security detail. Washington felt a fraction of fear for ninety seconds and called it terrifying. Trump is using it as an excuse for his $400 million ballroom. open.substack.com/pub/demcastu...

It seems like that’s all Alberta cares about. They seem willing to ignore failing healthcare, corruption, an ever increasing liability for well cleanup and oil company lease payments. As long as Dani keeps screaming about the feds and perceived grievances they will keep voting for her

Are people stupid? Not exactly—but cognitive biases make them vote for self-harm. Brexit's 56% regret proves it. Alberta's separatist referendum is next. Why democracies repeat the same mistakes.

That I will never benefit from. That’s what Canada is. As a country, we have always worked to ensure a level of support for the entire country and this selfish “what about me” rhetoric is not the country I grew up in. Can we all just look at what we have been blessed with as Canadians

Yes I believe it will but the damage she’s done along with with the white national separatist movement that has been encouraged will continue. A segment of AB seem willing to adopt the hatred shown by the US and that is amped up by UCP
