A group of craft activists will launch the Irish Pachamama project next week. The aim is to alleviate period poverty making reusable sanitary pads that are distributed around the world wherever the need is greatest. We are meeting tomorrow Sunday in Phibsborough.

Saw this yesterday, great documentary by Sinéad O'Shea. Ireland in the 1950's and 60's was a tough place for women. Fascinating story skillfully made. Well worth seeing.

I was lucky to attend a wonderful event celebrating the life of Nell McCafferty this evening. Olivia O'Leary MC'd & some of Nell's friends and colleagues read a selection of her incisive, powerful, and, at times, very funny writing. She inspired so many of us. Fab performance by Mary Coughlan.
