Good luck to everyone taking part in the Sheffield 10K! The run leaves Arundel Gate at 9.30am on Sunday 27 September and follows a route up Ecclesall Road, round Endcliffe Park, and back. If you will be driving, plan your route in advance as some roads will be closed.

A Sheffield legend is set to be honoured. John 'The Man with the Pram' Burkhill will receive a Sheffield Legends plaque for his outstanding contributions to the city. He has raised over £1.2 million for Macmillan Cancer Support and supported many in the community.

Great news for users of Graves Park! The Rose Garden Café restoration project has reached a major milestone. Planning permission has now been approved. This success follows years of hard work by locals, volunteers, and the Council. More than £60,000 raised for this project!

Norfolk Heritage Park is one of Sheffield’s great green spaces. It is a Victorian park with an English Heritage Grade 2 Star listed landscape close to the city centre. It is free and open at all times! There are sports facilities, a family play area, and much more to explore.

A permanent 'Me Brother Dan' memorial has been approved for Weston Park. It’s based on a poem by an 11-year-old Sheffield girl, providing a place to stop, remember, and reflect. Funded by community efforts led by the Royal British Legion.

If you registered to vote by post for the Walkley by-election, your ballot should be with you now! Return your postal vote by post before 16 September, or hand it in at a polling station by 10pm on polling day. Remember to complete a form for hand delivery, or it will be rejected.

🚧 Overnight road closure on Furnival Gate! Starting 8pm on Wednesday 16 September until 5am on Thursday 17 September for road marking and signage works. A signed diversion will be in place. Buses will be diverted overnight but return to normal Thursday morning.

Music legend Paul Carrack has received a Sheffield Legends plaque. Paul grew up in Sheffield and learnt to play music in his family’s paint shop. He went on to become one of the UK’s most successful musicians.
