![Rituals under Occupation (1989), one of Suleiman Mansour’s most prominent works, captures the suffering of Palestinians living under occupation and their daily resilience. In this oil painting, a highly symbolic funeral scene unfolds: vast crowds carry the coffin of a Palestinian, draped in the Palestinian flag and depicted as a large cross, evoking the Christian narrative of the crucifixion of Christ.
