If you were reading Berserk as it was released, not getting caught up in 2026 or whatever like I did, with the sparse updates, it took from 2006 to 2015 for Guts and Co to get off the boat That is NINE. YEARS. That is a 3rd graders whole life.

For those who don't know : Berserk, the manga by Kentaro Miura (rip) has an arc where guts and the gang get on a boat to head to the elf island for plot relevant reasons. Reading the story in 2026 the boat arc isn't bad at all imo. It's not even, LONG. however..

Reminder: just because you feel that your trauma isn't as extreme as someone else's doesn't mean that it's 'fake' or that it 'doesn't effect you' You are worthy of sympathy. It is really easy to fall into the trap of thinking what happened to you 'doesn't count'. It counts.
