People with serious mental health illnesses face a reduction in life expectancy, often dying 10-20 years earlier than the general population. Thank you to the Stanford Healthcare Innovation Lab for inviting me to speak on how Metabolic Psychiatry opens new avenues of treatment for mental illnesses.
