I’ve been so disappointed in myself and now my poor decisions are effecting my home

Really trying not to fall into another depressive episode

That being said, 2026 is going to be transformative. From physique to mindset. Incorporating more mindfulness practices to keep my head up. Some of those things include - gym - yoga - affirmations - journaling In setting myself up to be the person I aspire to be

It took me a year to build the habit of being consistent. I’m very proud of myself for being patient and kind to myself throughout the hurdles. The negative self-talk was really holding me back

Shea Butter Mother @sheabuttermother.bsky.social · 19/12/2025

Something a bit more positive: I can definitely see the physical changes after being in the gym for a year

I’m hoping by creating a new schedule I’m about to realign myself with my goals

I’m currently reading the Milady Nail Technology textbook. Decided it’d be smart to familiarize myself with nail anatomy and manicure procedures if I want to take this pathway seriously

I’m gonna have to clean up this page soon. Do a new mega thread and things

Needless to say, I’m super excited to start filming content tmrw! I’m gonna be challenging myself to do 30 unique Halloween themed nail designs. Stay tuned 📺

Shea Butter Mother @sheabuttermother.bsky.social · 23/09/2025

Granted, in the future, I will invest in a camera to film in 4K, but that’s roads ahead. I’m trying to get out of the mindset that I need certain gear/items to start a project. I have an iPhone, the art & editing skills to get things going … /7

Shea Butter Mother @sheabuttermother.bsky.social · 23/09/2025

But it takes up way too much space. Did a test run at 1080p with 60fps and wow! Idk why I hadn’t tried that before. Knowing that most viewers are satisfied with 1080p & all social platforms prefer 1080p, idk why I’ve been filming in 4K for so long … /6

Shea Butter Mother @sheabuttermother.bsky.social · 23/09/2025

And today I started looking up how to film long form content on my iPhone. I want to also make nail content for YouTube, showing my skills and what I’m learning. I’ve been so dedicated to filming in 4K these past few years … /5

Shea Butter Mother @sheabuttermother.bsky.social · 23/09/2025

So I settled on pursuing nails. I’ve started making nail content and testing out different techniques. I have my sisters to practice on until I have the confidence in skills to practice on strangers (I’m thinking in 2 months) … /4

The only way you can make money. Unfortunately my tech is failing on me, so freelancing graphic & web design is out of the question I’m not returning back to the trades I know how to draw, but can’t afford a tattoo license I can do nails and that doesn’t require a license in Ontario … /3

Shea Butter Mother @sheabuttermother.bsky.social · 23/09/2025

Searching for a job was exhausting. The 1st 9 months I felt worthless. After some reflecting, I came to acceptance that this is Canada for the foreseeable future. Unless you already have a job, you’re screwed. At this point in time, freelancing seems like… /2

Shea Butter Mother @sheabuttermother.bsky.social · 23/09/2025

Welp so much things have changed: For starters, I’m migrating away from tech and going into the beauty industry (omg I know, what a shocker) After being unemployed for more than a yr, I had to take a look at what skills I have that I could freelance with … /1

Art directors stop clinging to Instagram PLEASE the reach over there is so dead. No way any of you are discovering new people on that app

I always felt like I had to over explain myself bc I am often categorized as being aggressive or exaggerated without actual consideration for what I’m saying. I still care to be heard, but I’m learning to be satisfied in this new boundary I’m setting

000

Shea Butter Mother @sheabuttermother.bsky.social · 16/03/2025

This transition is a bit challenging for me. I tend to over explain my thoughts and feel like vulnerability allows for a better understanding of my viewpoints. But slowly implementing boundaries has be helping stop over explaining myself.

100

Shea Butter Mother @sheabuttermother.bsky.social · 16/03/2025

I’ve also slowly gotten better at spinning a personal situation into humorous, relatable content without indulging into details about myself

100

Shea Butter Mother @sheabuttermother.bsky.social · 16/03/2025

The aim is to create a healthy balance. I’m learning I don’t need to be specific when it comes to personal details of myself in order to gain a following. Watching others grow emphasizes that point

100

Shea Butter Mother @sheabuttermother.bsky.social · 16/03/2025

I’m not gonna make TikTok videos of me crying or sharing too much personal information anymore SBM will cover locs, Carnival & fitness My backup will have my yapping content on current news and relatable topics

100

Shea Butter Mother @sheabuttermother.bsky.social · 16/03/2025

Once that’s done, I’m setting foot on a more intentional path when it comes to creating content. I now have 2 TikTok accounts to separate my niches. Make it easier for the algorithm to bring the right people to my pages

100

Shea Butter Mother @sheabuttermother.bsky.social · 16/03/2025

Anywho, tomorrow marks the start of my digital footprint cleanse. I’m gonna apply all the OSINT knowledge I’ve gained in the past week to clean up my online accounts & platforms

100

Shea Butter Mother @sheabuttermother.bsky.social · 16/03/2025

I often tell my friends my impromptu plans. Idk if it’s because I’m seeking validation or low key trying to be stopped
