Can’t access BlueSky on browser because my username doesn’t exist, so I’m assuming something absolutely normal is happening with the servers right now (it’s fine on my phone)

Gotta hear the same 15-20 voices in AAA games the same way I have to watch the same 15-20 people in mainstream movies

A statement. My current cadence has not been sustainable for quite some time, however I’ve not been blessed with the circumstances to be able to slow down… Until now. Here’s what’s happening.

Hey all.

As you have probably noticed - especially as I have spoken about what I can at length on stream - I have been struggling personally and professionally for a while. All channels have been running on autopilot with bursts of energy here and there. But the fact remains that I have been burnt out for quite some time. I just could not afford to fully rest previously, as there was always a constant threat of the roof over my head being taken away from me.

This has resulted in constantly playing catch-up whilst trying to remain current in the things that I cover. This has also not been sustainable.

When I started Twitch in 2020, it was - in ways - an act of rebellion. I had been asked to put away the creative parts of myself to appease others for quite some time before this, and starting this journey was me saying "You know what? Enough is enough." I am proud of what I have achieved during this time, and the wonderful little community of members both past and present, and I will always be proud of that.

But a hell of a lot has happened since then. I need some time to get back to me, and that's the part I need to take my time with.

Starting this week, and continuing for the next few weeks, **I will be streaming off-schedule, as and when I have the energy to.** I will still be aiming for a couple of days a week, and if I can do more then that, that's great! But as it stands, the element of scheduling means that on my bad days there has been a pressure to perform "okay," and whilst I am sorting elements of my life out, that has been harder to do.

Realistically, this should probably continue for the remainder of the year, but I don't want to force this process.

In addition to this:
- Short-form content will still continue, but most likely at a reduced cadence.
- Outstanding Commissions will be completed, but the books are completely closed and will remain so until April 2027.
- I will - of course - still be active on the Discord.

This decision has not been taken lightly, as I have been thinking about it for quite some time. I has also considered taking a break outright, but I don't feel that's the best idea at the moment. If that does change, I'll let you all know.

I would just like to thank you all again for your kindness and patience with me, especially over the last two and a half years. You have gotten me through more hardship than you could possibly know, and I am thankful for each and every single one of you.

Bests,
Shaz

Sounds like a good time to point out that the SEGA/Sonic fanbase still has many possible *unofficial* homes for you, in all manner of languages and focuses, with literal DECADES of experience. Consider the following locations (and beyond):

Actually had a Glamour thought for FFXIV; It would be really AWESOME if we had a slot for every job weapon per glamour plate. I often have many weapons assigned to a glamour and the current switching process is... fiddly.

There are many aspects multistreaming doesn't cover; 1. How much connection you lose when interacting with a platform other people are not watching ; 2. Exposing your community to more bad actors 3. Extra processing power 4. That somehow more platforms = better and it... Doesn't actually

After some reflection, I’ve decided that I am fine with Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave having one save file because of the way the game works. Also I feel like gaming has become far too reliant on save-scumming; Sometimes you only get one shot in life, and sometimes you need to start over.

Yeah... He has a point, though. AAA suffers from a homogenisation problem. Like sure, they (mostly) look and feel great to play, but under the hood it's essentially the same thing. From a professional standpoint, naming a game and studio as a case - in this climate - is a bold (incorrect) move.

Ngl Twitch, even if I was a good streamer who remembered to take my breaks every hour, taking the total break time to five whole fucking minutes is pretty hard to justify in any reality. And given the content of some of those ads I don’t know if I’d want to expose my community to more of them.
