Stand up if you’d rather see our Republic die quick; stay seated if you’d rather watch it die slowly. Offering false choices is good rhetoric, especially suited for bad leaders.

So, Mark Kelly is definitely scouting his run for the Presidency, yeah? If so, I’m all in.

Wow. You folks weren’t kidding about not keeping up with BlueSky engagement. No judgement, just a little surprised/disappoibted more fans of the show aren’t pitching in. Just here to say: Yay for the Pogues shout out this week. Also recommend Arthur Macbride for another odd Christmas song. :-)

Our Pentagon has a fully stocked make up studio. The Pentagon’s Press Corp office is empty. That tells you everything you need to know.

About to play a gig at the local Irish Cultural Center- celebrating a 90th birthday. Politics, policy, debates- all important. Just don’t forget to turn the music loose, be in the moment and celebrate the lives of those around us.

How does paid speech equate to free speech? How is the agency/non-agency of the minor not at play in these arguments? Last, if medical consensus is so fluid, doesn’t that *support State licensing boards, whose whole damn gig is to research and evaluate such things?

So, not only will Congress give federal employees the🖕; they’ll push it right into their faces and make a tight little circle with it.

“This is about lying to Congress” So, what Crenshaw is saying, on Fox News, is that James Comey might also look forward to a 17 year long career at Fox News, just like Oliver North….

I really like Richard Carrier and Paulogia. It’s difficult to find anything long form, *historical and well-done. I’ve listened to some of Bart Ehrman’s stuff, but it does seem like he takes a break to sell something every 24 seconds or so.

It might be interesting to note: the movement against empathy did not originate with Mr. Kirk. It’s been a talking point on the Christian Right. “The Sin of Empathy” by Joe Rigney is one of many examples. Mr. Kirk was merely parroting the work of others, which is what commentators do.

Empathizing with those following an idealogy demonizing emphathy isn’t weakness. It’s a power move. Literally, it’s empowering. I also believe in a slow, subtle way- it seeds empathy in others.

It’s clear the evidence for the human smuggling charges are weak and won’t survive Discovery. Dangling a Costa Rican deportation for a guilty plea assures that. We need a judge to declare that this administration must prove Garcia is the Keyser Söze they’ve projected him to be in their media.

Still reeling from the fact that our President’s issue with museums is they a) depict slavery as a bad thing and b) don’t say enough about our future. What the actual fuck are we living through?

“You touch it, with a needle.” I like to type in an ellipsis just before quitting. Now it’s the page’s turn to work on it for a while. And it doesn’t, though the challenge of the waiting ellipsis does stir me up some the next day.

We don’t know the prosecutions of DJT were in error. We got the crime, the setting, the cast of characters and just as the intrepid detective was about to reveal the culprit; the screen went dark. So, yeah- I’m having a tough time empathizing with the righteousness of this retribution tour.
