In other #writing news, an old friend kindly whose baby I once kissed messaged me to say she was now a first grader, to whom he had read several cantos of my epic poem, "The Wizard and the Dinosaur*" as a bedtime story. Though the vocabulary is challenging (see sample below), she laughed, he said.

I autographed a 6x9 paperback copy of Hungry Thing Tuesday, which was nice--but the buyer hadn't yet read it, so the experience felt incomplete. Yesterday, I received high praise for the US hardcover version, but the flatterer was a salesman with whom my wife had just purchased a car, so...likewise.
