This might not be a real thing however I worked on something called a Scantext 1000 in the late 80s which was a huge metal desk with the keyboard sunk into it, had 2 screens one of which was rotatable to share between 2 operators and a pedestal where the huge floppy disks went.

lots I should have done today but watched the John Candy documentary instead and now I'm emotionally drained and will spend the rest of the weekend watching the great man in every film I can find. 31 years have gone but it still seems so unfair. I am an unnatural freak of a woman. At the age of 54 I have only just got into handbags and in general my handbag has just 3 things - phone, keys & wallet (I do not own a purse). If I'm out out it might have lipstick in (tbh it's more like to have a hip flask in than lipstick).

They must have repeated them as I remember watching them but they originally came out the year I was born. I bought them on VHS for my kids - possibly only 10-15 episodes? Great stuff. I remember the 1st time seeing Ray Brooks in Big Deal and being so excited to actually SEE him! 😀

We had a Venus flytrap once on our dining room table then one day I noticed it had vanished without trace - just a pot with some damp soil and a small hole where the plant had been. We’d had salad with dinner and we think my dad (who had Alzheimer’s) had plucked it and eaten in whole.

28 Years Later is flipping brilliant and well worth the wait. Bravo Danny Boyle! … also the cinema is air conditioned so that makes it doubly brilliant when it’s as hot as satan’s arsehole outside. Downside of today - my fave cinema is closing down soon.
