[[ Here’s another picture of him in London to apologize ]]

[[ guess who got sick two days after she got back from London!!!! Can’t possibly be the same idiot who ran a 5k in a nor’easter. Anyway I’ll be back soon just a lot of night shifts and being very fatigued ]]

[[ sorry I’ve been away, I had a trip come up (but I got to play my one WOL as a D&D character!) and it’s been wall to the wall activities because it’s a new place time zones away from home and I’m only here for five days. I’ll be home soon to annoy you all! Maybe I’ll post an open thing. ]]

“Oh, pardon me, madam. Are you all right? Let me help you up…”

She doesn’t need to say he’s a good boy for him to sense it. He lets her guide him down, lets his body relax as he curls up to fit against her. “Tis true, I have never met a rule I did not try and bend. I have to keep things interesting.” He sighs. “But… I’d hate to ruin a moment like this.”

He hums softly, lips tugging into a small smile. “Five more hours, perhaps, but we cannot always get what we want.” She shifts, and he reaches an arm over her to pull them closer together. “You could say that again. Can scarcely remember the last time I slept so well. And in such good company.”

I do not think any of us were prepared for beastmasters.

100

Thancred Waters @sharlayanrogue.bsky.social · 10/09/2026

No I’m literally screaming at the sky. You never answer my linkpearl calls even when you do have it.

Thancred Waters @sharlayanrogue.bsky.social · 09/09/2026

He steps forward at the summons before realizing he’s done it. Truly he is like a hound brought to heel. He smiles to himself and does as she asks, sliding into the bed beside her. “I hope that’s a promise,” he teases, knowing better than to expect a reward. “You expect me to act the beast?”

Obviously with the closed borders I can understand if you do not know but.... We had a rather terrible goobbue stampede there. Several deaths. Orphaned children. They rarely allow them in the city now.

Thancred Waters @sharlayanrogue.bsky.social · 09/09/2026

Because we are looking for you and sometimes that means screaming into the void and hoping you hear.

Thancred Waters @sharlayanrogue.bsky.social · 09/09/2026

Thancred didn't always sleep through the night. A side effect of his training, his expertise, his role. He always had to be alert, ready for any threat or danger. Never get comfortable. So when he slowly wakes, to a warm bed and a gentle touch, he knows it's safe. "Is it," he murmurs, eyes shut.

Thancred Waters @sharlayanrogue.bsky.social · 09/09/2026

..... So you hate the ocean then?

100

Thancred Waters @sharlayanrogue.bsky.social · 09/09/2026

I would never be able to sneak again! Just a plaster and I shall be on my way.

Thancred Waters @sharlayanrogue.bsky.social · 09/09/2026

Ser Aymeric...... please do not send them to Ul'dah.....

Scalded my finger and then immediately cut it in case anyone is wondering how today is going.

Right? Everyone is always so surprised to hear how informal my education actually was. I suppose being so clever probably helped with that, or whatever spice I picked up.

Thancred snorts softly himself, corner of his mouth tugging into a small smile. "No... I do not think so either." He raises his sunglasses enough to look at her for a moment. "Of course you can." Lowering them again, he pats the space next to him. "Have a seat, make yourself comfortable."

of uncertainty pulls at him. He clears his throat. "I can join you, if you are comfortable." Better to let her know he was ready himself. It wouldn't do to be rude and just climb all over her.

Once he is down to shirt and trousers, he stretches a little, getting used to being without his gear. At her jest, he scoffs and rolls his eyes. "Please. We took to far more places than mere beds..." As he takes in the way she settles on the bed, he finds himself warm with fondness. And a touch

Mmm. Perhaps I try and take more than before because I want you to be able to just be you. Even more than before, I should say. I did exhaust myself into a very embarrassing situation. Putting it mildly. With the troubles behind us, I want all of you to be able to do the things you wanted to do.

110

Thancred Waters @sharlayanrogue.bsky.social · 06/09/2026

Mmm. Another good point. I do find them tedious. Good thing I avoided the Studium then.

100

Thancred Waters @sharlayanrogue.bsky.social · 06/09/2026

Oh, are you not a fan of water then?

100

Thancred Waters @sharlayanrogue.bsky.social · 06/09/2026

[ He absently waves a hand. ] But of course. You are always welcome.

Thancred Waters @sharlayanrogue.bsky.social · 06/09/2026

“Mmmm. Me and every Scion and Warrior across the star I suppose. We could all use an extended break.”

100

Thancred Waters @sharlayanrogue.bsky.social · 29/08/2026

This time? Ah, so I’d have to keep earning it. That may be difficult.

100

Thancred Waters @sharlayanrogue.bsky.social · 29/08/2026

Mmm. I am certainly trying to be.

100

Thancred Waters @sharlayanrogue.bsky.social · 29/08/2026

Very true as well. You are full of wisdom. Perhaps you should give lectures in Old Sharlayan. I would like to see a sprout try and debate you.

100

Thancred Waters @sharlayanrogue.bsky.social · 29/08/2026

I cannot help but feel that too much falls to you compared to me. But I will concede this argument. We’d be at it all night and there are far better things to be doing. [ he smirks at the suggestion ] well sure, but what is one more favor? Life is short and I am very giving.

110

Thancred Waters @sharlayanrogue.bsky.social · 29/08/2026

Thank you, I certainly will try. Before someone inevitably calls for me.

100

Thancred Waters @sharlayanrogue.bsky.social · 29/08/2026

Thank you, I dressed to impress. I hope it distracted from me accidentally walking off the cliff at an inopportune moment.

Thancred: How disappointing. Not even a scar in the making to brag about.

Thancred Waters @sharlayanrogue.bsky.social · 25/08/2026

[ he grunts softly when she presses her hands to his face, talking through it anyway ] I am saying I can provide is all. And help. That and if you wanted it could be a… well. The special kind of repayment. I was not sure we would be able to get this far so… I would do anything with you.

110

Thancred Waters @sharlayanrogue.bsky.social · 25/08/2026

Getting to snooze in the sun sure is a treat.

Thancred Waters @sharlayanrogue.bsky.social · 25/08/2026

Oh? Then consider me honored. This is quite special attention. The kind some people may or may not want to keep to themselves. So perhaps I am also quite lucky.

100

Thancred Waters @sharlayanrogue.bsky.social · 25/08/2026

Well I do have gil. My own not Tataru’s. And favors but you never know if the thought of that makes people… well, worry. But you are always welcome to any sort of repayment, of course. It does sound nice. Relaxing and domestic… I do not get to do that sort of thing often.

110

Thancred Waters @sharlayanrogue.bsky.social · 25/08/2026

[ sighs. ] No, I suppose not. You did look good at the function though.

100

Thancred Waters @sharlayanrogue.bsky.social · 25/08/2026

I thought you would like that sort of complement. I collapsed and everything at that gathering at your glare. Right in the heart did it hit me.

100

Thancred Waters @sharlayanrogue.bsky.social · 25/08/2026

Oh I am always in a mood for anything. Happy with nearly anything you could come up with. And I would gladly pay my way by being any help I can.

110

Thancred Waters @sharlayanrogue.bsky.social · 25/08/2026

Mmm. It would make the job much easier and more efficient if I could care less I suppose. Might have if I hadn’t been surrounded by people who cared far too much.

100

Thancred Waters @sharlayanrogue.bsky.social · 25/08/2026

[ he sighs, relaxing into her touch ] You should consider opening a parlor or some such thing. You’re quite good at this. Many would pay top gil for such a massage.

100

Thancred Waters @sharlayanrogue.bsky.social · 24/08/2026

I would not count on me letting you know. Not sure I would want you to.
