I’m so proud of my little duck! GERTIE, THE DARLING DUCK of WWII illustrated by Renee Graef made Bank Street’s Best Books of 2024 list.

What a delight to have a school visit with 800+ students and talk, among other things, about patriotism in a joyful, hopeful (non-political) way. The kids during WWII were a tremendous, inspiring help on the home front.
