We used data from @share-eric.bsky.social wave 9 and @ess-survey.bsky.social round 10, covering parents aged 60+ in 23 European countries. The goal was descriptive but important: update what we know about parent–child contact and proximity, and check how much survey measurement matters.

With the introduction of "Quota 100" in 2019, workers could retire early if they were 62+ with 38 years of contributions. Around 380,000 people took it. But workers born after 1960 were categorically excluded, regardless of how long they'd paid in.
