I read of Monarch migrations disrupted by climate change, like refugees forced to move to unknown lands. This inspired my latest work depicting butterfly people, traveling together into a new life. #kidlitart #picturebookart #kidlitartist #illustration #watercolor #mixedmedia #monarchbutterflies

In my latest illustration, a group of kids at summer camp discover dragons, and the dragons are equally surprised to discover children! #kidlitart #picturebookart #picturebookartist #kidlitartist #illustration #dragons #watercolor

This is my husband Andrew and me, as Frog and Toad, on a wild ride in Mr. Toad's motorcar (Andrew's golf cart). Inspired by Wind in the Willows and by true events. I made this as an anniversary gift, and now it lives on our wall. 😊 #picturebookillustrator #kidlitart #illustrator #kidlitartist

Summer sketchbook day 4! A jungle swim in wild blue pools. The color is from volcanic minerals, but we were sure it was *actually* bcs they're magical mermaid lagoons, and there were definitely fairies sparkling about. #sketchbook #kidlitartist #picturebookartist #illustrator #watercolor #mermaid

Sometimes I feel like big sis here, too sucked into my phone! I hope to be more like little sis instead, noticing the magic that's actually everywhere. #kidlitart #illustration

An illustration for a quiet Sunday, Mr. Otter sharing a cup of tea with Mr. Rat in his tea garden. 🌱 This piece was inspired by two delightful novels: Under the Whispering Door by TJ Klune, and Wind in the Willows by Kenneth Grahame. ♡ #kidlitart #illustration
