Sometimes the things that improve everyday life the most are almost embarrassingly mundane. Sleep more, but spend less. Stop answering that one super irritating person you can't stand. Eat before you become homicidal. Buy the better trash bags.

I’ve very much come to realize that a rich inner life is one of the best forms of wealth. You can be sitting quietly in a chair while internally visiting six ideas, three memories, an imaginary world, and something random you just learned about octopuses. Very economical entertainment.
